Je moet een vaartocht door de scheren van Stockholm een keertje gedaan hebben, maar ik vond het niet top. Zeker nier voor 38€ per persoon. De gids sprak veel te veel, over architect zus en zo die leefde van dan tot. …. En die dit kasteel had gebouwd in 18honderd zoveel, over een paleis uit ….. waar de koning veel tijd doorbracht, etc. Maar hij vertelde bijvoorbeeld niet bij welk eiland we ons nu bevonden. Vaxholm niet eens gezien! Daarnaast was de boot erg volgeboekt met groepen. Maar goed, we hebben het een keertje meegemaakt! Een volgende keer nemen we gewoon de directe veerboot naar Sandham. Dat schijnt de moeite waard te zijn. We wandelen of fietsen daar een tijdje rond en gaan dan weer met de veerboot terug naar Nacka of Stockholm centrum. Ook dan zie je de scherenkust!

Do not recommend this trip
Link given for directions for the start of tour brought us a different location. Message sent more than 30 minutes before the departure of tour and no response given. Further messages sent via App, WhatsApp and email and still no reply. Requested refund and still no resolution. Would not recommend this tour. Take your money and do not reply to messages. Very unhelpful and this spoilt our day trip to Malmö.

What a waste of money. Our speaker was a guy named Tony, and he was sitting down half of the tour. The other half he was spending time talking about uninteresting things like “these apartments are expensive”. He almost didn’t mention anything about the old buildings and the history about them. A big part of Copenhagen is the fact that it was a ship yard city. And he failed to even mention that. All the canals were made to carry goods in and out. My expectations were to hear about the history, building and see Copenhagen from the water as in the old days. But this was super disappointing, you see a lot, but I could honestly say I could have done a better job as a speaker. Don’t waste your money on the expensive “premium ride”.

So much information it was hard to keep up, but do a canal tour as soon as you can. We waited a day and our stay in this compact city would have been better for going on day 1. The tour convinced us to visit more places which pushed us for our final 36 hours.

We really enjoyed this tour. It was really well presented and the tour guide was full of knowledge too. It’s a beautiful way to take in Copenhagen with lots of different sites to see along the way, being in the canals gives you an idea of how life is lived in Copenhagen both past and present. The tour is included with the Copenhagen Card and is well worth a trip, the tour lasts circa 45 mins and you can grab yourself a cold glass of Carlsberg on the jetty as you board 👏🏻

A must for busy sightseeing
At first glance it looks expensive but a few transport trips, hop on and off bus tour and a cruise around the bay and a day at Suomenlinna and the pass paid for itself. We simply showed it everywhere and everywhere recognised it for free or discounted entry. Be aware that there are two schemes Helsinki Pass and Helsinki Card - same principle and discounts just different buses and cruise boats - be wary of not getting the wrong ones! Great scheme.

Overall a great way to see the city
The Hop on Hop off bus is the way to go around the city and to various landmarks. The staff was very friendly. The canal boat ride was excellent. Definitely buy the combo ticket. We missed the purple bus because the bus was not painted in purple. Areas of improvements include better instructions for spotting the right bus, and also, the ticket was supposed to have 48 hours validity but it expired after 24 hours.

Nous avions réservé la croisière en ligne sur Viator. Le bateau a connu une panne, nous pouvions annuler ou basculer sur un autre horaire. À l’accueil de l’embarcadère on nous a dit de contacter directement Viator. Répondeur téléphonique uniquement en danois, même en sélectionnant « english ». J’ai adressé un message écrit sur le site, aucune réponse….
