we pay for a cruise with audio but we could barely hear anything! when asked to pump up the volume… the answer was nope not possible - not worth paying for an audio cruise

Nice experience.
The trip was good and well managed. The guide was knowledgeable and spoke good English. She explained the sites well and often made light jokes which was good. Also, since there was royal run today so we had less people onboard which contributed to the better experience. The driver was also good.

Boat better than bus
Make sure you get QR code before arriving. There was an issue with my ticket and I couldn't get on without the QR code. Boat tour is definitely better than the bus so prioritise this. Copenhagen isn't that big so can walk the majority.

A great way to while away an hour and a half
A very pleasant way to spend about an hour and a half cruising the canals. It's quite cosy on board. The cheese and snacks were fine but a little explanation of what the cheeses were would be nice. We had red wine which was perfectly acceptable. We had 2 glasses each and were offered more so they don’t skimp on the hospitality. The captain occasionally pointed out sites of interest but it was quite hard to hear what he was saying over the general hubbub. If you want a more informative cruise - try one with no booze on board! Our trip was due to start at 8.15pm but we didn't get away until 8.30 and were back around 10 - not a problem but useful information.

There And Back Again
A pleasant way to kill a few hours, sailing eastward out of Stockholm aboard a mid-sized ferry to tour the archipelago, with a very nice guide telling you about all the sites along the way. The travelogue got a little tiring toward the end, if only because eventually the trip is all about seeing and hearing about lots of houses and cabins of various sizes on islands of various sizes. We pre-ordered our lunches for the dining room, which were decent and filling, if not spectacular.

Signed up via Stromma for ferry transport from Stockholm (Klara Mälarstrand) to Birka, admission to the Museum (which doesn't seem to require admission), and a nicely guided tour (which also didn't seem to require tickets) of the site. This UNESCO site is all pretty low-key stuff. The museum is small, but has good info about what is known of the trading city of Birka (and has a nice gift shop to boot). The site itself is mostly noteworthy for a big 19th C cross to St Ansgars (who twice unsuccessfully tried to convert the locals to Christianity), lots of burial mounds, and a hill fort. There are some interpretive signs here and there, and the site includes the Bj 581 Viking warrior woman grave. The site also has a cafe, a small beach, a Viking village recreation, and some (not very glamorous) "glamping" tents. Overall, happy we went, and a nice way to spend most of the day. Not sure I would go back again, having pretty much seen what there is to see.

Die Fahrt an sich war informativ und kurzweilig (2,5 Stunden vergingen wie im Flug). Das Personal an Bord war sehr freundlich und bemüht, wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Junge Leute haben uns als Reiseführer in schwedischer und englischer Sprache alles über die Inseln vor Göteborg erzählt sowie Fragen freundlich beantwortet. Bei der Buchung haben wir unser Mittagessen bereits gewählt (Auswahl zwischen Fisch, Fleisch und vegetarisch) und es dann an Bord genossen. Wirklich sehr lecker und geschmackvoll zubereitet. Getränke kamen on top, Fika war inklusive. Ein empfehlenswerter Ausflug.
