Relaxing Day on the Water
A comfortable boat, kind staff, and a lovely trip around several of the major islands in Stockholm. The audio guide is AI, so I question the accuracy of what I heard. It was also painful listening to it try to pronounce Swedish names. Just ask a native speaker to narrate the tour.

You see a lot of the islands & they are delightful! Most seating on our boat was outside, unless you opt to have lunch, so wear warm clothes or bring extra layers if it’s at all breezy

Complimentary canal cruise as part of the Amsterdam Card. This was very good value, punctual with a very jovial welcoming captain. The boat was very clean and spacious with usb ports for charging too. Good commentary on the history of Amsterdam, the canals and the vicinity. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful city, and there is no better way to see it. You’ll be given headphones if you’d like to hear a narrative on history. There are 6 languages available. Have your camera ready you’ll see so much. I witnessed two acts of kindness from our captain when he didn’t know anyone was watching. I love this city.

This is a total debacle - it is expensive and a huge waste of money. It wasted a lot of our time when you are only in a city for 1.5 days things need to be snappy. It’s slow and seems that there is only one bus. Takes big breaks and really is uninformative - it was not hopping on and off - takes too much time for that. The stops are not right at attractions - and so you need time to find them and you only have about an hour to see things and then try get back to the bus. We ended up using the tram system instead - because it just didn’t work well enough. Commentary was ok but not really in-sync so confusion also happened. We have used the hop on hop off in other cities where it worked much better.. it’s a shame for Gothenburg.

Having done a walking tour and a poor experience in Amsterdam with another brand, we ummed and arred whether to do this. However my love of water, a stunningly warm and sunny day made me commit to it. Zero regrets! Tony was our guide who was knowledgeable, crudely entertaining and made the whole experience a delight. Engaging with the audience directly and issuing banter to those inside and outside of the boat as we meandered round this beautiful city. We had a brilliant time and that I have to say was down to Tony as the guide.
