Excellent, headphones broke and the captain did the history and all the talking himself it was much better than headphones. Only thing that spoilt it were the loud Spanish tourists, but nothing new there!

Nice way to see Amsterdam

The Canal cruise was pretty good - a nice tour of the area from the water. They offer a recorded tour that you can listen to in English and they have a QR code you can scan to hear the tour in other languages. A few times the boat captain was trying to explain something and the recording started up. This quickly became a little annoying so several asked if he would just turn off the recording. So the majority of our tour was narrated by the boat captain which was quite fun. Passengers were able to ask questions which he answered. I think this made it more fun than just the recording, but we likely missed a lot of facts. This is the third canal tour company I’ve been on – the others from different trips -and they are all pretty much the same. So I think the captain’s personality made this one more enjoyable than what it otherwise would have been.

Great activity after a few days of walking. Very relaxing and the lunch was delicious. Beautiful little decorated dining room. You do share the cruise with others who are not lunching so the outside seats are very limited. You can find space at the front of the boat once it gets moving.
