The boat trip out and the guide were fantastic, the viking village was completely empty free from activity and a bit disappointing. Definitely worth a trip but you need to take ypur fantasy with you in order to appriciate it fully.

We went on a boat ride from Stockholm to Drottingholm palace. It was absolutely not worth spending this ridiculous amount of money on the tour. The dirty and smelly boat clearly carried way more people (about 250) than it was built for and is not looked after. This left about 150 passengers including elderly people and children standing or sitting on the dirty floor. It also meant that most people couldn’t see the beautiful scenery that we were passing. One square meter of space on a dirty floor is not at all worth the money.The staff was not helpful at all and quite rude. You should definitely look for an alternative to get to the palace. The Palace, Chinese Pavilion and theatre were stunning but the bot ride was horrendous.
