A Disappointing Experience for Plus-Size Guests with bigger thighs than stomach. I recently visited SeaWorld, and I left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and frankly, excluded. As a plus-size individual, I was shocked at how inaccessible the park is for people who don't fit the "average" mold. First off, the ride seating is incredibly restrictive. The safety restraints are clearly not designed with bigger bodies in mind especially for legs. It's embarrassing and disheartening to get excited about a ride, only to be told you can't fit because of your legs or the harness won't close. There’s nothing more humiliating than having to step off a ride while others watch. SeaWorld advertises itself as a family-friendly destination, but how can that be true when they don’t consider the needs of all family members? Inclusivity should be a priority—not an afterthought. It’s 2025; there’s no excuse for this level of oversight. I hope SeaWorld listens to feedback like this and makes meaningful changes. Bigger people deserve to enjoy theme parks without feeling marginalized or uncomfortable.
