it was cool. but when we finished and ended up in the gift shop the lady at the counter immediately SHOUTED over a MICROPHONE at us "WE HAVE YOUR PICTURES READY" and i walk up to the counter and she is Still shouting OVER A MICROPHONE even though i am 2 feet away. she had an attitude when i said we didnt wanna buy the pictures. like we took the picture with the memory card cause we thought it was FREE since the dude handed it to us when we checked in regardless of us asking or even saying yes. nothing on the card said it costed money so sorry i didnt assume. aquarium experience was good but unfortunately bad experience at the end left a sour taste. not sure i would reccomend the behind the scenes tour either as it was less of a tour and more like just standing in three seperate locations as she talked our ears off, we didnt see any demonstrations or anything really happening. we saw into a window the "life support" system, we saw the recovery area where the fish are checked by a vet (a small pool), and we saw the lab (some desks, cabinets, and whiteboards.) we also saw the kitchen which just looked like a kitchen. this was all in one hallway. i believe we just didnt come at a good time for the tour because she said all the aquarists had gone home so we didnt get to see them work or demonstrate anything for us. so my advice to future patrons is to schedule your tour earlier in the day (ours was 3:30) we didnt learn much and i genuinely dont think they should hold tours when theres no aquarists! thats on them. anyways! the touch station employee was nice, the front desk was nice, the tour guide was nice (the only issue was there wasnt much to see the aquarists went home. the tour guide did a fine job.) photo desk lady was Not nice. thank you for coming to my Ted Talk

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Grapevine Aquarium, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted by the vibrant colors and sounds of various aquatic life. The facility is well-organized and clean, making it a welcoming environment for families and individuals alike.

It's definitely made for the little kids. But if you have more than 2 kids, you are in debt for the week.

The aquarium is great but your employees need sensitivity training especially around young children. Maybe don't assume customers are trying to sneak in without paying or steal toys from your store. There were 2 incidents with my newly turned 3 year old that involved him misbehaving and the employees publicly embarrassed us both times assuming the worst. The first incident happened when my family just walked into the aquarium and while my husband stood in line to purchase tickets, my toddler ran towards the entrance and stood there while I attempted to grab him. We never entered the aquarium and it was obvious I was trying to grab him but the employee at the front desk loudly asked if we had tickets to enter as if we tried to sneak in. I told her my husband was getting them, which was okay with her. She saw our entire family come in and saw my husband in line, so this was uncalled for. The 2nd incident involved my newly turned 3 year old son grabbing a toy from the store and immediately running out while the adults he was with were still at the store. 2 of the adults he was with immediately ran out to get him so he wouldn't run around the mall. The 3rd person stayed. The cashier very loudly yelled "Shoplifter!" but when the 3rd adult reminded him that she was still there and was going to pay for the toy, that seemed to be okay with the them. There was no concern over the toddler running into the mall and a basic common sense was lacking that a toddler isn't shoplifting and adults are present to pay for the merchandise.
