I took my husband to Sea Life, while it is small it is absolutely perfect for kids. We enjoyed seeing all the sea animals and walk thru tunnel. They have a great gift shop as well. Sea Life is located inside Auburn Hills Mall across the Wild Life Cafe & a Lego Land.

This aquarium is basically in a mall. With that in mind, it was a cool experience, but not one I would be willing to pay full price for. We went on a special day that allowed our group to get in at about 60% off, and I thought that was a fair price for the variety that we saw. I understand that comparing SEA LIFE to larger aquariums (like the Monterrey Aquarium) isn’t quite fair because of size, entry cost, etc., but I didn’t feel that the variety of marine life we saw at SEA LIFE was much different than what the Dallas zoo has. The displays were very neat and provide an experience the zoo doesn’t: I love walk through tunnels, and my kids liked the viewing bubbles, but it did seem like we were seeing many of the same species of fish in all the displays. I would recommend visiting SEA LIFE if you have small children and if you can get significantly discounted entry. For our family, I think we’ll just visit the aquatic section at Dallas zoo next time.
