Our trip was awesome, we are 2 couples travelling from Australia and absolutely loved out day… .. our tour bus driver Ross was so informative and passionate about his job he was great… it’s a big day but didn’t seem so much as we were doing so much .. we had lots of scenic stops on the way .. the glass roof bus is amazing .. the cruise was amazing and we were blessed with beautiful weather … very highly recommended

Excellent trip - scenic boat crossing followed by an informative introduction to the glow worms and a tour of the cave, which was incredible. Stella, our guide, was passionate about the glow worms, caves and surrounding vegetation - especially the tiny orchids which were growing on trees and old stumps. She was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic making our visit to the caves a memorable trip. Many thanks to Stella and all the team at RealNZ. 😊 😊

My favorite part was the minute of quiet on the water. The whole experience was great. loved how big and clean the windows were for viewing. I also loved the commentary the entire time. The main thing that bothered me was there were 3 children under the age of 2 in our group. At any given point, there was crying or screaming. I was beyond upset and almost vomited when we were stuck on a bus with closed windows and one of the babies pooped. The smell filled the bus and it was definitely NOT what I paid a decent amount of money to experience. This was on my birthday too. Honestly, if the children weren't there, this would have been perfect. Animal sightings, stories, lovely crew, delicious Chai. The bus and cruise were awesome. Just really disappointed that young children were allowed.

Overall it was a good day but a few things marred the experience. My wife is disabled and when we landed on the shore we saw someone holding a banner for the gourmet bbq, but by the time we had set up the wheelchair they had disappeared. We had to ask another guide where to go. The food service was excellent but we were disappointed at how processed the activity was, we were not expecting it. When I read the description on the site it looked like we were going to be hosted on a real farmstead, it was not made clear that this farmstead was formed especially for tourists and run by a tourist company. There was also no guidance on when and where the dog show was we had to find out ourselves, and it was also a sheep shearing demo more than a dog show

Well organised trip on a rare beautiful sunny day in Doubtful Sound. Spectacular scenery with viewings of seals and penguins a bonus. The guides were knowledgeable, informative and amusing- particularly Tony the coach driver! An excellent day out and highly recommended
