Fantastic experience, loved every aspect of this activity. TSS Earnslaw trip over and back was smooth. Interesting to watch the 2 guys as they shovelled coal into the burners and oiled machinery. Good views of scenery from front deck. On arrival Walter Pea, met by guide who spoke about history of the area, revegetation and sustainability focus of the gardens. We had a small group of 10, as most chose the farm option. So pleased we chose Garden experience. Fruit out of season so we each picked Tomato to taste and edible flower. We Then to superb afternoon tea, all made on site with mostly local produce. Breads, cheeses, olives, veggie dish, tasty condiments, etc and dessert bites. Water provided, alcohol available to purchase. Toilet stop before walking up dirt road (10 min walk) to plant tree/shrub we chose on garden walk. Wrote our names etc on cupboard plant protector and washed hands. Guide had pre-dug hole for us. Walked back to historic steamship Earnslaw for boarding.

Really fantastic trip! My guide was knowledgeable, the bus journey was comfortable and we made regular stops to photograph the stunning scenery. The boat journey was very good as well.

the tss earnslaw was a nice steamboat. the dinner was ok. i loved the toffee pudding. the sheep shearing and farm dog demo was great.

There wasn’t anything wrong with the glowworm caves. It was okay. The whole experience could have been a bit more exciting. The hot chocolate was horrible, and the milk was cold.

The coach ride to the sound was delightful! Was guided with excellent commentary and many stops for photos and points of interest along the way and 30min rest stop for snacks. Perfectly timed to get to the boat terminal for the departure. We were welcomed onboard with drink and information. Cabins were larger than expected, basic and functional, clean and charging sockets etc. Bathroom small but good and had fairly good shower. Kayaking activity was great, well organised. Option to go on tenders to shore entertained 2/3 of the guests.who didn’t want to kayak. Food on board was top notch and plentiful. Buffet dinner and breakfast. The Sound itself was breathtaking as expected and commentary was wonderful. Staff were really fabulous and so keen to help and make us welcome. In incredible experience, so glad we did it rather than the short day cruise. Well worth the money. We star gazed, took dozens of photos and video. Truly a life long memory!
