It was an amazing experience to watch these creatures in their natural habitat. The natural process which creates such awe inspiring cave structures where such creatures live is absolutely astounding. The whole trip was well organised with very enthusiastic guide explaining the biological life cycle of such worms, geological processes behind the origin of cave structures. The trip included a small under cave boat ride which is gives the best views of the luminous worms like blue LEDs lighting the ceilings and walls. A must-do ride for anyone visiting New Zealand. The boat ride till the cavern gives a scenic ride across Lake Anau. Boat ride, under cave waterfalls, luminous worms everything in one ride .

This is a much more comprehensive and adventurous trip than doing Milford Sound day cruise. The sunrise boat ride across the lake, the quick bus ride through the pass, and then the proper fiord experience where the scale and seclusion truly makes you feel small (in the best way). Highly recommend
