Our tour guide, Baruch was amazing at filling the long bus ride with a wealth of information about the natural history of the area. His passion and deep knowledge of geology, wildlife, and local flora were evident. He made the journey as entertaining as the destination! The stop at Kiwi Country had great snacks and a wealth of gifts at reasonable prices. The boat ride was smooth and staffed with a hospitable, informative, and amusing crew. The views are out of this world! We would highly recommend this booking for anyone traveling to NZ!

We paid a lot for this tour and were very excited to see kiwis. However we were not welcomed as the staff tried to discourage my girlfriend to go on the tour, we found out that the checklist given on the app was wrong and incomplete as we shouldn’t have insect repellent contrary to the checklist nor goretex pants and that we should have needed seasickness medication as the cruise was very rough. The guide was helpful and knowledgeable but some other people working at the company were rude and disrespectful. The walk was actually easy and we enjoyed seeing penguins, albatros and a kiwi, but the experience was not very enjoyable and not worth the money.

Unfortunately the weather was against us so meant for dulling down of scenery which is one of the main attractions of the whole trip. Quite a long day with not a lot to show for it. Took 4 pictures. Would’ve been much more enjoyable with a little sunshine. Will try Milford Sound next time.
