It was an amazing tour! I genuinely felt that I was experiencing the real parts of the city with a local. We got plenty of time to spend at our stops and get water if tired. Hernan was the best guide we could’ve asked for.

We’ve done a lot of these “free” tours and most of the time they’re worth the money, but this time it was so much more! Pablo did a fantastic job of teaching us about the history of Colombia, what life has been like for him during his 30+ years here and treating each tour member like a VIP. We learned so much and got a true taste of some of the local life and culture, while also feeling like we had great guidance on what to do and where to go. 10 of 10 would do it again in a heartbeat!

We had a lovely tour with Real City Tours. Our guide Hernán was super knowledgeable, engaging and answered all kinds of questions. I recommend doing the tour at the beginning of your stay in Medellin, because it gives a really good intro to the city and helps you be prepared and enjoy it more afterwards. Their automated WhatsApp Guide also gives useful info and ideas for other things to do. Definitely recommend!

We have done walking tours in many cities and this one with Dio was among the very best. He is an artful storyteller and I was nearly brought to tears more than once. This tour is not so much about landmarks as the moving history of the Colombian people in their dark times and transformation to a more peaceful and hopeful present. Ten stars!
