We had the best guide ever! For real, I’ve never had such a good guide as Pablo. The way he explained everything… It was just a passion for him to explain EVERYTHING of his city. Even though I wasn’t a big fan of the Downtown Medellin, Pablo made everything 100x better.

(Original) Wir haben die Tour durch Moravia gemacht - ein touristisch nicht erschlossenes Barrio in Medellin, das eine sehr bewegte, interessante und komplexe Geschichte hat. Unser Tourguide Juan ging selbst dort auf die Schule und die Tour wurde begleitet von einer sehr lieben und beeindruckenden Community-Leaderin. Juan war ein super lieber, smarter und kompetenter Tourguide! Es war mitunter die beste Tour unseres Lebens, weil sie ganz weit weg von Touristischer Ausbeutung, Massenabfertigung und Beschönigung der “Transformation” ist. Sie legt Fokus auf die Stärke der Barrios und seiner Bewohner, ohne dabei Probleme zu ignorieren. Und bleibt dabei immer respektvoll und achtsam den locals gegenüber. Nirgends haben wir so vor ueber die Staerke einer Community und seiner Widerständigkeit gelernt. MUST DO! Bitte diese Tour machen und keine Comuna 13 Tour!
