Well, if you’ve ever wondered how humour survives in a city once dubbed the most dangerous in the world, this tour gives you the answer. It survives through wit, resilience, and a deep sense of identity. Dio made sure we felt that. From the slang to the statues, from Plaza Botero to backstreet legends, this wasn’t just sightseeing, it was a cultural immersion, doused in sunshine and slightly improved Spanish. I would 100 percent recommend this tour to anyone that is traveling to Medellin for the first time. If you speak English, this is a great way to travel the city, learn about its history and culture and most of all, a way to do this in a safe manner. Most groups are a decent size, and I felt super safe throughout the entire tour. It is a walking tour, so be prepared to walk and it could be warm so keep that in mind. Our guide was Pablo and he was amazing! I have so much respect for what he does. He was great at keeping our attention, he was enthusiastic, energetic, nice, honest and you can tell he loves sharing information about his city, culture, country and his people. Lots of good recommendations, good places to take pictures, and just lots to learn from these tours. They are free but please please tip your guide generously. They truly are amazing at what they do.
