Must do free walking tour!
This tour was great and it was free! Although a decent tip is recommended and greatly appreciated because the guides only get paid in tips. Also Book directly on the Real City Tours site so the guides don’t have to pay the fee if you book elsewhere. Susie was great. Very informative and kind. She was fun and remembered all our names which was a superpower in my opinion. She did a great job, it was very interesting, and you can’t beat the price. Real City tours explained everything really well to get to the meeting location and was quick to communicate back. Fun experience and I highly recommend it.

Incredible tour that respectfully explores Columbias past
We had an incredible tour with Julio! He is an excellent storyteller and brings a wealth of knowledge and respect to the subject matter. We really enjoyed this tour (it was our second tour with Julio!) and would absolutely recommend.

Great way to see the city and learn about it's history
We really enjoyed the walking tour. Carolina was super engaged and gave nuanced insights into the history incl. critical topics on politics, crime, etc. with differentiated opinions. Loved her energy and information!

What a great experience
I did the „More than Escobar Tour“ today and it was probably the best tour I’ve even been on. I’ve learned sooo much about the complex past and present and it really helped me to get a better understanding of the country and its people. Juli was such a great and knowledgeable guide and it felt like this tour is the perfect way to learn about Colombias past in a respectful way. Amazing storytelling and the tour has left me very touched. Would 100% recommend :)

This is a must-do tour to learn about the history of Colombia within a sensitive context in a very respectful way to the victims rather than in a glorifying way. I was moved to tears when hearing the stories of what has happened and continues to happen. Thank you so much Julio for sharing the stories and your own stories. It's really interactive and welcomes all questions. This is a must do!

A wonderful learning experience
This wasn’t a typical walking tour but allowed you to discover the drug trade in Colombia including the production and impact not just on people but society as a whole and the environment. There was no glamorising of its use. Julio was an amazing guide who explained so much and used wonderful cards to help visualise what he was explaining. Each stop on the tour had a purpose and related to the content that was being discussed. I would highly recommend this activity to anyone who would like to learn more when in Medellín.
