Highlight tour of Banff

Great tour with Clem. We got to see a huge elk and some female elk. Didn’t get to see a bear but a great tour of the main areas in Banff. Clem did a great job and took pictures of our family and great background info

Worth Waking Up Early For!

My 18-year-old daughter and I did the Moraine Lake and Lake Louise sunrise tour on Wednesday August 6th with Radventures. The shuttle pick-up was super easy, and our guide for the day was very pleasant, knowledgeable and friendly, Charles. He welcomed us to the tour and then along the drive from Banff to Moraine Lake he turned off the lights and let us get some sleep if we wished. Once we got closer to Moraine Lake he started telling us some great facts and history of the lake. He also gave us several options of where the best views would be, based on what we each wanted to get out of the experience. My daughter and I chose the quieter and a bit farther away location that Charles suggested. The Moraine Lake sunrise experience was like walking into a painting, we felt like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz as she steps out of the black and white world and into Munchkinland, so many bright and vibrant colours that our eyes are simply not used to seeing. After Moraine Lake it was off to a breakfast stop and then on to Lake Louise. Again, Charles told us of the best spots to visit that are not as busy or well known. However, at 10am and as busy as it was, there was no shortage of locations to get a good view and photos without lots of people. On the drive back, Charles took us along the Bow Valley Parkway instead of the highway so we could potentially get in some wildlife sightings. Sure enough, we spotted a bear, and he pulled over so we could observe from the bus windows. Once we had created a "Bear Jam" on the road, we took off so the other cars could enjoy the bear as well. The only downside, in my opinion, is that we felt rather rushed for time at both Moraine Lake and Lake Louise. With two hours or less at each location, you don't have a lot of time to enjoy the hikes or different views. However, if you are looking to get the experience of both lakes, early in the morning without the crowds or the stress of parking and shuttles - this is for you. We got to see and experience what we wanted and Charles/Radventures definitely delivered!!

There are no guarantees to see any animals. They do take you to some scenic lakes and show you the different mountain ranges. Which was nice but booking this is about animals. Fortunately our last stop we spotted a herd of Elk. That was wonderful.

Super sunset at the lakes

After abandoning a tour with another company earlier the same day due to poor conditions on the bus, I was able to get a last minute booking on the sunset tour. Everything about the trip was great - the bus was spacious and comfortable, the tour guide Dan was friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and the locations were outstanding. Going in the early evening meant fewer crowds and some lovely light for photos. I would have liked a little longer at each of the lakes. Communication with the company was excellent and I would definitely recommend them.

I have lived in Alberta for almost 60 years and I never took the opportunity to visit the amazing sites such as Emerald Lake, Takakkaw Falls and Marble Canyon. The more personal approach to have a smaller tour van along with an amazing tour guide Ollie, made it even more special. Ollie was full of enthusiasm and had a great deal of knowledge about the areas in general. I highly recommend anyone wanting to to experience an upscale, small group tour to check this guys out.

We had an amazing sunrise tour to Moraine Lake and Lake Louise with Rae yesterday. I don’t know how anyone is that cheerful at 4am but Rae was! She was a great guide, so knowledgeable and friendly, we’d highly recommend her and Radventures 😁

It was fun evening. We saw a couple big horn sheep, a herd of elk and some beautiful scenery. Our guide, Flossie, was very knowledgeable and sweet. With the small group, she was able to be attentive to each individual.
