Great Tour with Harris

Harris Parson was a phenomenal guide. Not only was the music tour with him perfect but his tour was the highlight of our trip.

Great for Bostonians too!

Nabil was a great host! I am a lifelong Bostonian who still learned some information on this tour! The North End food stops were delicious, and The Freedom Trail stops were well explained. I had some unexpected time off of work - not with enough notice to plan a trip out of town - so I took this tour mainly to fill a day. But I am so glad I did. Like most who live in an area, I knew the “stuff but not the stories.” It was great, so I can fully endorse this tour for Bostonians.

Disappointing experience, no effort to rectify

Our family recently drove 1.5 hours into Boston for a much-anticipated food tour, but unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. Upon arrival, we waited for our guide, who never showed up. Another guide, who was very friendly, informed us that our guide was running late, and we were asked to wait further. After another 20 minutes, we received a call notifying us that there would be no guide available for our tour, and we would need to reschedule. This was particularly frustrating as we had family visiting from Denver who were leaving the next day, making it impossible to return. When we requested a refund, we were told we had to initiate the process online. Additionally, when we inquired about any accommodations for the inconvenience—considering the time and effort we invested in preparing, traveling, and waiting—we were told they would look into it. Unfortunately, no one followed up. We understand that mistakes happen, but the lack of proactive solutions and communication left us feeling undervalued as customers. Offering a free tour, a sincere apology, or even a callback would have gone a long way to make up for the disruption. This was especially disappointing for our family members who were visiting Boston for the first time and were looking forward to this experience. We hope the company takes this feedback seriously and implements better contingency plans and customer service practices in the future. A little extra effort to rectify situations like this can make all the difference.

Great information on Jazz history at a fairly fast pace

The statues in Armstrong Park were beautiful, and Harris, our tour leader was very knowledgeable about Jazz history as we hiked down to Frenchmen Street, where we heard some good Jazz at La Maison. The problem we had with this tour was "pace". We got a late start because the tour leader was delayed, so the pace sped up once we left Armstrong Park in order to get done on time. This was very hard on my wife, who is 77 years old and uses a cane; she cannot walk very fast, so we were always about a block behind the main group. Two friends of Harris were along for the tour and they occasionally checked to see how far behind we were, or to point out broken pavement, but they were mostly focused on their own conversation rather than keeping track of us slowpokes. I recommend the tour for the quality of the information provided (the tour leader sent a text with a lot of supporting information he provided during the tour). Unfortunately, we didn't hear some of it first hand because we couldn't keep within shouting distance. So if you can walk at a decent pace, this is a great tour. If you can't you might want one that's more targeted to people who need a slower pace.

Great Fun

Reggie, our tour guide, was generous with fun facts, history, architecture stories and really interesting background information about the monuments. The tour left exactly on time and ran two hours. There were blankets provided which were needed!! We saw all the major attractions including the Capital, Washington monument and the Tidal Basin Monuments . We had plenty of time for photos and seeing the monuments. We had our choice of where to end the tour. We were calling an Uber so Reggie dropped us in front of a large, well known hotel so we could wait in the lobby. I would definitely use this company again.

Fun, informative, delicious!

This was an informative, fun, and delicious experience. Lee was clearly passionate and knowledgeable, and made the entire tour accessible regardless of prior coffee knowledge. I would definitely recommend this tour, and go with Lee if you can!

A great experience in Brooklyn

Highly recommend if looking for a great food tour that also teaches you about the area. We liked all the food stops, from the bagels to the pizza to the cookies and chocolate. Our tour guide, Jessie, was fun and knowledgeable.

Reflecting Chicago in new fun and unexpected ways

Our time in Chicago was greatly enriched by Dave whose love and knowledge of the city are the foundations of his wonderful tours. He builds a lot of depth into approaching the highlights and tailors the content to the audience. Thoroughly recommend booking this. Dave like The Bean reflects Chicago in new fun and unexpected ways.

Calling all coffee drinkers!

If you want to learn more about coffee, this is the tour. Just like wine comes from regions and has a flavor profile, so does coffee. Who knew? You will learn a lot and the tour guide, Lee, was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. I tasted some amazing coffee with ingredients I would never expect, like mushroom or grapefruit, which was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this tour if you are a coffee drinker or would like to learn more about this amazing bean.

Great orientation of the city

When I was booking it, it seemed like there was only one car available but they have a whole fleet of these cars. It was a very memorable experience. Perfect activity the first evening you arrive in DC to get the lay of the land. A very refreshing ride in the summertime.

Great time in Boston!

Connor did a great job! He’s very informed and attuned to his audience. Our first part was with adults, and the second was with a mom and kids. He was equally knowledgeable and responsive to both groups! I highly recommend him!

Must do!

It was amazing. I grew up in Rockford, IL and grew up going to Chicago a few times a year. But I never knew about its rich full history and of course its beautiful architecture. I know the boat tours are popular, but I recommend doing this one instead!! Going inside the buildings and learning about its history and viewing the ceilings and interior was amazing.

Excellent Food and Stories

Great food! We came on an empty stomach and felt full by the end, and I’m expecting it will keep me full til the end of the day. Our tour guide, Kaffey, always kept us and the other family talking and having a good time. The history about the French Quarter and the food was entertaining and informative. Well worth the time and money, would definitely recommend!

Would pass on this one

We've done several of these tours in various cities and this was one of the weaker experiences. The food stops were ok but nothing really exceptional. The pizza workers seemed annoyed/surprised we were even there. I thought there could be some better storytelling or engagement from the guide, we had a lot of dead/quiet time walking between stops, the pace was slow and 3 hours felt very long.
