Incredible show, talented artists, and an even better cause. The Phare project runs a lovely and fun Big Top styled circus featuring extremely talented artist, acrobatics, and social commentary. The circus supports their art school near Battambang offering underprivileged children free education to pursue the arts. The circus employees graduates from their school to continue to support them. The place has good food - you need to buy food "tickets" to exchange, adding to the circus feel - and theres a gift shop featuring handcrafted good from the local area and people involved with the program. A great cause to support and an awesome night in Siem Reap!

It's a great performance. The performers are very good. I am especially impressed by the musicians behind the scene. They're playing live music and sound effects which was really cool. I gave this 3 stars because the experience isn't that good for me... The tickets (even the cheapest option) are a bit expensive for locals. No assigned seat available (for zones B and C) so it's first come, first served.. but it also means you gotta fight for your seat because people will try to squeeze in and take your seat. A group of 4 japanese guys came in late and tried to squeeze in a small space (fitting 3 of them only) and asked me to move so that they can sit. It's absurd. I came here early to pick a good seat, avoiding the obstruction view of the polls and wires. Why would I have to move for someone else who came in late, minutes before the show starts??? This chaotic situation really ruined the mood for me. And the two French couple behind me kept shaking their legs, thus shaking my seat. Horrible. I guess this is what peasants like me paid for 😂 cheapest ticket (18usd) for a cheap comfort. It would be great if the organizing team can better arrange the seat and/or inform the guest of manners when using a communal space! The space between each row is very small so guests must have etiquette on how to behave during the show. For example, no shaking legs, no reclining your back against the upper row, keep some space for people to walk in or out, etc. As an Asian, I think this is the manners we learn and live by. It's only a problem with some Caucasian people. It's a shame.

This was an amazing experience. The show was insane, the performers really put there all into it and they are super talented, it was so nice to see a Cambodian take on a circus, I would highly recommend adding this to your siem reap itinerary!
