Great experience, minimal effort

Franco was a great host, a guy who loved his job and spoke from the heart...the company itself was also well organised and made it super easy to pack in a load of activities and destinations into my last few days in Peru without the hassle or uncertainty of having to organise anything myself.

Amazing tour

On Peru hop from La Paz to Lima, which included the Huacachina (+ pisco tour) and Paracas (national reserve & slave tunnel) stops. Very good communication, extremely passionate and knowledgeable guides. Great experience overall with a comfortable journey. Our hosts George and Ana were amazing!

The tour was amazing. All the activities we did were so fun, beautiful and educational at the same time I loved it. Our guide Luis was the best. He had so much patience with all of us and we just had to ask if we needed or wanted anything. Definitely recommend. Was even sad that it was only two days.

Great experience, exactly as advertised

Fiorella was an amazing guide! My experience with Peru Hop was great! The busses are comfy, the guides are really helpful and I can also always contact the customer service on WhatsApp, they are very responsive. Ive enjoyed the flexibility of being able to book all my travel and tours through their app pretty much up to the day before, mind you, It was low season.

Expectations were high after first day but let down by second

Day 1 followed itinerary with plenty of commentary. The pickup was before the expected time (0452), as I was first on the bus. This day was a lot of fun and had some great activities, assisted by our guide who was both knowledgeable and chatty (everything bilingual). Every activity was, as per the brochure and punctual and coordinated. The boat ride was well organised and very enjoyable. lunch at the winery was also a pleasant diversion with sampling as well. The dune buggy (cut down Land Cruiser) was a highlight, which included sand boarding (plenty in your pockets!) and then capture the sunset. Day 2 The guide was late to pickup at 07:00 Drive to Nazca tower was fine, although no commentary until we arrived at the tower. There was no indication of the expectation at the tower and would have had no commentary, except that a Spanish couple asked a question. The reply was only in Spanish so I didn’t understand the reply ( and had switched off as previously all explanations had been bilingual). During the 30 minutes drive to Nazca, there was no explanation of the process at the airport, other than we need passport and money. At the airport we were pointed to the company counter and the guide left us to joke with airport workers. There was no guidance. As I was travelling alone, I was put with another group, which was fine, but I was late to the group because having to find and pay at the government tax office. We entered the runway airside at 10:30 (according to my photographs) and disembarked just after 11:15 as expected. This process was handled by the flying officer. As a commercial pilot with 1500 flying hours in Cessna 206/207/208 and 210 aircraft, I was disappointed in the safety briefing. There was no mention of entry to the runway, no mention of safety access to and from the aircraft for passengers (operation of doors or seatbelts) and emergency exit. The pilots did do a checklist (challenge and response), but I did not hear an emergency briefing. The flight itself was amazing with so many geo glyphs visible. When we left the aircraft, there was no one to greet me and I was nearly ushered onto another shuttle bus. Our guide did not appear until 10 minutes after the rest of our group had disembarked. The shuttle did not arrive until 11:50. We arrived in Nazca at approx 12:05 at Moms Cafe. There was no mention of (optional) going to the Nazca Aqueducts, as per the booking, but just that we would meet the bus driver at 14:30. As the shuttle was not our van, I can only assume that I was meant to ask for a lift to the aqueduct. On the bus at 14:30 (our guide was late) it was not announced that we were returning to Huacachina, but I soon gathered that was the case as it was the the opposite direction to the aqueduct. The departure was an hour earlier than expected and arrival at Huacachina was also early at 17:25 The guide slept in the van on the return. We then waited until 18:45 for the return coach to Lima. The drop off was at the scheduled time.

Beautiful locations and great guide

We had a wonderful time on this trip. Really beautiful stops along the way, and can highly recommend the dune buggy rides! Julio was a great guide, and made sure to help us whenever possible.

Una experiencia inolvidable

Nuestra experiencia con Perú hop fue realmente reconfortante y una experiencia que realmente superó nuestras expectativas ,en comparación a otras agencias Perú hop nos dió una completa satisfacción en cuanto a lo queríamos conocer del Perú al menos en este viaje y en cuanto a lo que estábamos buscando , fue una experiencia segura confortante en cuanto a los viajes los buses pa coordinación y la modalidad del tour con bastante flexibilidad para poder realizar todo en su debido tiempo sin apuros . Lo que más quiero resaltar fue la experiencia con nuestro guía Sergio Tarazona que nos dió una atención muy personalizada , y sobre todo la forma en la que planteo el tour con un nivel de información en cuanto a la historia de los lugares que visitamos realmente sorprendente . Gracias a el nos vamos completamente enriquecidos culturalmente con parte de la historia del Perú que no conocíamos , fuera de todos los lugares hermosos que visitamos .

Great trip!

Guides were great all around. Juan Carlos was knowledgeable and we had a great time on his tour. Paracas was alright, reminded me of Hampton Beach NH but the ballistas had a great mix of wildlife. Huacachina was the highlight, definitely do the sandboarding.
