Best way to travel around in Peru

Excellent trip. The Peru Hop tour was a good way to cover many places with the convenience of a comfortable bus, very friendly host, and flexibility to tailor the trip according to your need. Our host Franco was very knowledgeable and helpful in guiding us on how to maximise our trip, and gave us a lot of history and context to the places that we visited. He speaks in a very clear way. We had a couple of activities included in the trip which was great to experience things off the usual path such as the Slave tunnel, Paracas National reserve and Pisco tasting. Other activities which were optional were also well explained and offered at a good price. Will recommend this to anyone who is travelling for the first time in Peru and wants to enjoy the breadth of the country but without the hassle of multiple bookings. The hosts are very friendly and fun to travel with.

Great short yet full getaway – very well organised and guided 🙏🏻☀️

I am happy I decided for this tour as I got to see these beautiful places before leaving Lima without the hassle of organising.. and this tour was very well organised and communicated. It’s a great short and full trip and break from busy Lima. It’s quite touristic, but that’s part of the deal. Paracas and the nature around – desert meets Ocean – were my favourite and simply breathtaking / breathgiving. And contrary to what I thought – the sandbuggy etc. was so much fun!! Another Highlight: Our fantastic guide Roberto, who gave so much positive energy, professionalism, information, love for his country and interest and patience with his group / declared Peruvian family 😊 I was impressed by his skills and spirit! Muchas Gracias ☀️🙏🏻

Peru hop The best!!!

It was very comfortable to visit three cities by bus, and the Nazca flight, which was our main purpose, was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Honestly, We had no expectations for Paracas, the “Little Galapagos,” but seeing so many animals and experiencing such dynamic whale watching made me personally very happy＼(^_^)(^_^)／ The buggy driver in Huacachina also did a great job entertaining us and made it a lot of fun! We are very grateful to the Peru Hop guides as well. Thank you so much. We will definitely recommend this to my friends in Japan.

Highly recommending Peru Hop

My partner and took Peru Hop from Lima to Cusco (I didn’t see that as an option in the drop down menu) with Jose Carlos as our host for most of the trip. Everything about this experience exceeded our expectations. First I want to say that as a lesbian couple we felt accepted and welcomed by Peru Hop, José Carlos, and all the other travelers. There were zero issues. We are also in our 60s and wondered what it was going to be like being the oldest or among the oldest on the bus even if we are fit and healthy. It didn’t matter at all. Some hikes were a little challenging for us but ultimately doable. This was probably one of the best vacations we have had because of the ease, level of organization, and range of activities - and we have travelled to many places. Peru Hop was incredibly responsive and helpful. Every question answered quickly. Everything went smoothly and was well organized. Turns out we are not the biggest fans of overnight bus rides. The bus could be a little cold or a little warm and no matter what you do, sleeping on a bus is just not going to be super comfy. But the alternative is to spend your morning/afternoon on the bus instead. All and all the overnight bus is the better option. We loved all of the included tours. We opted for additional tours that we really enjoyed. The trip to the Floating Island of Uros in Puno was our least favorite. The guide was excellent but we wanted to see more of the lake and wildlife but I guess that is a different tour. Also by that time we were eager to get to Cusco. One the best parts of the entire trip was our host Jose Carlos. He is knowledgeable, diplomatic, kind, super friendly, responsible, and organized. We got to know others on the bus - oh yes this is another great part of the trip- and we all agreed that Jose Carlos added so much to our experience. Not knowing how good Peru Hop would be, we worked with a private travel agent to book our Cusco tours. Both Karen and I wish we had stayed with Peru Hop instead- it would have been more seamless. We would definitely go with Peru Hop and Jose Carlos again. Peru is a beautiful country- mind blowingly beautiful actually. Thank you Peru Hop for a great experience.
