Experience with guide Miguel at Puno

Miguel my peru hop guide for the trip to puno was great to talk to and also helped everyone in the group get to know each other better by recommending a spot for us all to eat together when we arrived. He convinced me that the late titicaca tour was worth doing while i was in town and i thoroughly enjoyed it!

The trip was from 5 am to 11 pm and absolutely worth it. You get a packed day, full of ocean and sand dunes. Franklin, our tour guide, was amazing, along with the other tour guides for the boat trip and dunes. It’s the highlight of our Peru trip.

Not quite what I expected but still interesting

Ballestas islands were a bit disappointing. We saw a lot ofpelicans but only a few sea lions and approximately 10 penguins. We expected to see rocky shores crowded with these creatures. Perhaps not the right season to visit. The dune buggy ride on the dunes of Huacachina was definitely worth the trip. Yeli, our guide , was charming and eager to please. Even though this tour did not meet my expectations, it did provide a good sense of the environmental diversity that makes up Perú.
