Insanely disappointing experience. I booked and paid for a tour four months in advance for my only free afternoon in town. Fifteen minutes before takeoff, Papillon cancelled my and two other guests' flights when we were already onsite and checked in. I booked through Viator, and Papillon claimed that Viator sent incorrect weight information in the booking details. Papillon also claimed that one of their own team members was supposed to confirm weights, which they acknowledged did not happen. I also tried contacting Papillon earlier in the week to confirm pickup logistics, and they did not respond to the message. While they offered a refund or to reschedule me to a different flight, which wasn't helpful since I was leaving the next morning, there was no offer to compensate me for wasting my time. Surprisingly sloppy and unreliable operation for such a well-reviewed company.

What an incredible experience! As a big aviation fan, being around half a dozen EC130's (now H130's) taking off and landing all around us was unbelievably cool. Our pilot, Doug, on top of operating this incredible machine, was an excellent tour guide. He also snapped the attached photo of me, my wife, and little sis' with one taking off behind us, which is likely to be the most epic photo I'll ever be a part of. All of the awesome helicopter stuff aside, I can't imagine a better way to see the Grand Canyon, with the Hoover Dam & Lake Mead on the way. We'll be back with more friends and family to share this experience again!

Great experience!
Super fun 40 minute ride over the canyon! Great views and it was a recorded narration over the canyon. The only drawback is that the plane holds many people and they assign seating, meaning a window seat is not guaranteed. However, you will still be able to see well even in one towards the middle. Would do again. Office was welcoming and had a gift shop. Plenty of parking.

Absolute height of professionalism. The company focuses on safety, everything was clean, well kept, and our pilot made the trip even more incredible. We did the hour-long tour on the ec130 helicopter and were able to experience majestic views of the Grand Canyon during the afternoon light. We even went through a rainstorm which was also awesome. Our pilot, Albert Kim, was incredibly knowledgeable on not only what we were seeing down below but also local wildlife, geology, vegetation, and wildfire management. It really rounded out the whole flight experience. It was also just simply one of the most spectacular experiences to see the Grand Canyon from the air. My husband is not a big flyer and Albert was able to calmly talk him through bit of turbulence and what we were experiencing making it a trip much more enjoyable for him. We were worried by some reviews saying if you get stuck in the middle seat it's not worth the price and I can say being up front is absolutely key to the experience. I looked at a ton of different helicopter companies and eventually landed on this one because we ran into a former pilot for Papillon who now works in Page, Arizona while we were there. He suggested this place, saying it is top notch, specifically saying the soundtrack they play while you're flying makes it, and I can agree, it creates a cinematic experience.

The helicopter flight is one of those things, you just have to do it. The landscape is vast and to an extent appearing bare for as far as the eye can see. The best way to see it all though is from overhead and these guys do a relatively good job. Henry, our pilot, had enough information about the damn, surrounding small townships as well as the Colorado River and the basic formation of the Canyon was excellent. Really enjoyed the background music too as it added another layer to the trip. The noise cancelling headphones probably the most impressive we've encountered. As your flying out from Boulder City it is a hike on the tourist bus to get there and is a little cramped and stuffy. The crew at the base do a fine job organising and information is concise. We had a very low wind day and bit of cloud after a sprinkling of rain overnight so conditions seemed fairly good for us.
