Absolutely amazing trip. Done the bus, helicopter and pontoon trip to the west Rim, a little bit expensive but wow! When you're down in the Grand Canyon pictures can't do it justice. Yes the helicopter and boat trip are short but the staff are so helpful and take pictures on the Colorado River for you. Unless you're willing to and have time to take a hike down and back again then this is a no brained.

Booked a private sunset grand canyon landing and vegas strip flyover tour for a PROPOSAL on the first day of our vacation (as they recommend). Got a call 8 minutes before our limo was supposed to pick us up, saying that they are canceling the flight due to weather. I understand they cannot control this however, it was frustrating it was so last minute. From here I called the operator to reschedule my tour on a later date. However, they gave me NO alternative options to reschedule other than a week away (we were only in vegas for 4 days). They did not offer any apologies, any alternative times or tours, request to open additional flights, ect. I was trying to give the company 3k and they simply could not have given a **** about me or my proposal plans. Therefore I requested a refund, and booked on GC tours (what I thought at the time was an alternative company). I called them tried to book one for the next day that they had available, however, the operator asked if i could go on hold. After 5 minutes she comes back and says that the tour was now sold out.... yes she put me on hold to book that flight with someone else. After complaining she opened a ticket to request “an additional flight for that night”; which was later approved and booked. All in all, i spent the same amount of money for the same tour that was not private... Beaten up bus picked us up and we were dropped off, turns out Papillon owns that company too (which explains the horrible customer service). They were unfriendly and not helpful at checkin. I requested front seats (which would have been an additional $100), however, they gave it to another couple that did not request it (and they were the same weight as us so that was not the issue)... In all, it was amazing to me I ended up on the same companies tour after they told me they could not reschedule me for a week. My expierance with this company was horrible as have many other peoples. The tour is beautiful, however, i recommend going with an alternative company such as mavericks helicopter tours.

I booked a Grand Canyon tour and landing back on November 29th for a tour on our ONE full day in Las Vegas on Saturday December 28th. Paid in full at that time. Received emails leading up to it and called to reconfirm the tour and the hotel pickup time more than a day in advance as required. Everything was good to go. We went down to meet our shuttle and when it arrived the driver got out and told us our flight had been cancelled and he needed to go to the next pickup. When I asked why or for an explanation he could not give us any and got agitated and rude with us for even asking him to explain further and for asking him to please wait while we called the office for an explanation. He just growled that he had gotten the call from the office on the way to get us and that they told him nothing more than that it was cancelled. I had received NO phone call, NO email, NO text, NOTHING at all in communication from the company regarding anything to do with cancelling or why. Once I was able to get someone on the phone all they offered me as an explanation is that the helicopter I requested was not available and that our tour was cancelled. I told her that when I booked the tour , it was not a request for a helicopter I made, just the tour itself. She had no response. I then asked if there was any other helicopter or tour time available. She replied that there was not , they were fully booked. I asked her if all of the bookings for that day were before I had booked and paid for mine in full. She didn't respond. I asked if there was anything she could do or help us with as this was an important part of our trip and a gift as well. All she offered was to reschedule for another day (after New year's 🙄 ) or to refund our money in full. Please keep in mind at NO time did SHE offer any detailed explanations, help, offers to make it right, or to do anything at all to make a bad situation any better for us at all, I had to ask all of the questions and rarely got any response. I asked again how it was possible that I could have booked that far in advance but we were the ones getting cancelled instead of anyone else who had booked more recently . She ignored that completely and asked again if I want to reschedule or get a refund. I took the refund as our schedule didn't allow for a different day almost a week later and besides that I no longer wanted to give them our business or money. I would strongly suggest to any one looking to do a tour like this to use ANY other company other than Papillon. I wish I could give negative stars on a review for them, as our entire experience with each staff we interacted with was terrible.
