A Fantastic Trip! An exhilarating experience. We had so much fun taking your tour of the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas. For those wondering how it works, they picked us up at our hotel at the appointed time. We rode with several others in a comfortable transvan out into the desert. It's about a 30 - 45 min drive out to Boulder City and the airport. Then a short check in and orientation program in the terminal. We had a quick meeting with our pilot, then a group of 6 of us were sorted into the helicopter. The ride was smooth and so much fun! Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, and then, or the edge and down into the Grand Canyon! Just so breathtaking! But from the beauty, not from the ride. The ride was wonderful! After a short trip through the canyon, we landed on a plateau to be let out to explore a bit. It was so utterly beautiful. After a few minutes, our pilot has little picnic baskets for us full of pre-packaged snacks and a few bottles of champagne. So much fun. Then, after a bit of exploring, we loaded back up into the helo and headed back. A few minutes out of the canyon, we had to stop for a refuel, but that was a quick stop. Less than 10 minutes. Then it was back into the bird and a 30 minute trip back to Boulder City. When we returned to the terminal, there were photos and even a video of us available for purchase, along with other merchandise. When we were ready to leave, we let the receptionist know, and she got us on the next bus back to Las Vegas. They dropped us right back at our hotel and we had the rest of the day to ourselves. The whole thing took about 4 hours. It was a wonderful experience and one I highly recommend.

Beware. Bait and switch. Unbelievably horrible experience. Book with anyone else, especially a company without a crash history. Papillon clearly doesn't care about customer experience. My daughters and i arrived at the terminal ready for a fun vacation adventure only to find that the tour we booked had been oversold. If we wanted to go on the tour we had to pay an additional $330, but there were "plenty of seats" on the next flight. I didn't want to pay more than the nearly $900 I had already paid. I expected them to apologize for the overbooking mistake and just put us on the next flight. The two smug, DMV-trained agents waddled to the back and reappeared to say no, they couldn't do that. I called the reservation number I had originally booked through and was told they were reviewing my recorded reservation call. This seemed good until I sat on hold for 20 minutes before being hung up on. By then nearly an hour had passed and it was too late to go on a tour at all. All we had was a big charge on my AMX and a ruined vacation day. The self-important, flammable-haired woman at the desk tried to blame me for the situation. She loudly accused me of having problems with my credit card, which was completely false. She was happy to run my card earlier without any issue. She pressured me to pay the additional $330, again loudly announcing that I was holding everyone up. When my daughter commented that this was bulls*1t, the miserable woman almost jumped over the counter and shook her arm saying "there is no cussing here." The whites of her eyes flared above her irises when she yelled "you need to get out of MY terminal." I get that legitimate overbooking and mistakes happen. And I expect companies to try to fix the situation. They should have at least a rudimentary grasp of customer service, assuming they care about customer experience at all. Papillon and the carney crew don't.

It was a fantastic trip! Well worth it. I am usually the one to say lets drive it ourselves but this was 1000% the best choice. Very smooth ride and great narration.
