A Tremendous Afternoon

A tremendous afternoon. Our guide was good fun, very knowledgeable and nothing was a trouble. She imparted a lot of information and did so in a really interesting way. The wines were excellent and the visit to St Emilion village was memorable.

The guide Helene was very cordial lively and informative. I enjoyed the 3 stops at the winery’s where we were received very nicely and of course the wine tasting was excellent and enjoyable.

My group was picked up this morning by Matt. We were not sure if he was an actor or history teacher. His KNOWLEDGE and DELIVERY of Normandy, D Day,the American, English, French, and German Army’s was incredible. He not only was able to give us timelines, dates, people, and step by step accounts of events, but was able to do it better than any historian or Hollywood movie that I have heard or seen. Anyone who is lucky enough to land with him for a tour is in for a day of learning and interesting facts. Thank you Matt for a great day! The Waters and Holland’s

Thierry was an excellent guide. We started our day with a tour of Haut Koenigsbourg Castle. He knew so much about the history and architecture. His conversation mixed with history kept us learning and entertained all day. I would highly recommend him.

The walk was nice, and some good information in the first half from guide, who was pleasant. BUT gourmet it was not, so not good value for the rather hefty price tag. The three samples we given were minuscule, the servings of wine miserly - and the sparkling rose was flat and just the tail end of a bottle being used up. By the second half it was just a trudge to the final stop with no information - tho’ post the guide was busy chatting the whole time to one of the four participants. The final stop -a platter - was where the just guide left and the staff didn’t know what they were serving us for half and hour. Overall - it was an ok couple of hours but not worth the price.

Had a wonderful full day tour of St Emilion with Hugo. Went to 3 fabulous wineries, enjoyed the very different tours at each place. Learned a great deal about the complex system to become a Bordeaux wine. The town is absolutely charming and loved the side streets....wine shops absolutely everywhere 😀. Highly recommend this tour.

Our trip to Carcassonne was amazing thanks to our wonderful guide, Sonia. Sonia is very steeped in history. She is engaging, positive, punctual, flexible and fun. We had her as our guide to Albi, Cordes and Gaillac as well. Highly recommend any tour led by Sonia.

Our full-day tour of Normandy was absolutely incredible, and that is entirely thanks to our guide, Pascal. He is a truly amazing guide who is incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the area. He didn't just recite dates and facts; he really brought the history to life, provided fantastic context at every stop (and along the way) , and answered all of our questions. We covered so much ground in a single day, but the pacing was perfect and we never felt rushed. If you want a meaningful and memorable experience in Normandy, I highly recommend this tour—and definitely ask for Pascal! The bathrooms breaks are very limited, so skip your morning coffee.

La Cité with Sonia

Carcassonne is a must see. We had an amazing guide in Sonia. Highly recommend. The city and history are very interesting.
