DO NOT ORDER WINE FOR SHIPMENT

We really enjoyed our tour with Orlane as our guide and we really liked the choice of wineries. However, I would advise anyone who goes on this tour NOT TO ORDER WINE FOR SHIPMENT. We ordered wine on June 4th with the understanding that Ophorus, our tour company, would be handling shipment in order to consolidate the shipments and get a better price for shipment to the U.S. It is now July 13th and we have received nothing. Communications have been shambolic at best. We were sent a UPS notice that a package was delivered to Goteberg, Sweden. Why? No idea. We asked Ophorus via e-mail. Crickets. My brother received an e-mail from a Mail Boxes Etc. in France asking for payment of 247 euros for his shipment of 1 case (this is a discounted rate!?). Why? Still no idea or even whether this is a scammer.

Great experience in the Alsace countryside

We had a wonderful experience exploring the countryside. Obernai in particular was charming and lively. The town square was magical and felt like a fairytale. The other towns were equally pretty but because it was a Sunday, most shops were closed. I think had we gone any other day more would have been available. That said, our guide Lea was outstanding. She was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The vehicle was a brand new Mercedes van and very comfortable.

The trip/tour was excellent. Orlane was a delight to be with. She was very knowledgeable about the region and the wines . The tastings were very nice. We had a relaxing lunch in Beaune.

Alex was very informative and knowledgeable. The wines were lovely. Would have been nice to see a bit more of the production of the wines.

Great half day experience

Anne was a great tour guide. The half day gives you a good experience at a beautiful chateau on wine making and tasting. The remainder at St Emillion was perfect for a hot day. Highly recommend for those with a busy schedule or seeking a lazy afternoon after an adventure. Thanks again Anne - tour guide

Wine day tour

The day started shaky as it was planned for 9am to be a half day, but they had short staff so they asked if I was willing to wait 30 min and do a full day at same price, Of course I was! The guide was very pleasant, and shared a wealth of information about winemaking in the region, and she also took us to 3 pleasant vineyards for tastings in addition to free time in St Emilion. It was a great way to spend the day.

Good, but company should not add people after we’ve started the trip!!!!!

The stops were good, the wine was good. It would have been 5.0 except that the company added several people after we left and we had to go back and get them (very bad decision for the company). Even worse, it seemed that those people has never done a group trip before and were never ready to leave at the designated time, which cut out time shot at each visit. Our driver should have managed that better.

Guy was an outstanding guide with a depth of knowledge about history and culture! He was a stellar host and we had an amazing time! I highly recommend this to anyone who wants an introduction into Saint-Emilion

This was a perfect day...

This was a perfect day out to 3 winemakers in different towns. Our guide was lovely! He was knowledgeable with a wonderful plan for the day that allowed us some time to explore one of the towns and have lunch. I would highly recommend this activity for anyone ranging from a wine enthusiast to novice, it will be a great time.

Très bien

Très belle visite de Lascaux IV. La reconstitution des grottes est remarquable et le guide était très agréable, avec beaucoup d’humour, ce qui a rendu la visite vivante et intéressante. En revanche, je ressors avec un léger sentiment d’inachevé. Malgré la qualité de la reconstitution et des explications, il me manque quelque chose sans que je sache vraiment quoi. Je reste un peu sur ma faim à la fin de la visite.

We couldn’t understand destined 30% of what the guide said due to her accent. She was charming and knowledgeable but difficult to understand.
