As we were the only ones...

As we were the only ones on our tour it was extra informative and fun. Our guide Helene was wonderful in telling us the history of Saint-Emilion and the wineries around it.

Thierry était une merveille! A knowledgeable, approachable guide with an excellent sense of humor and effervescent personality. Visits at two very different domaines highlighted all that Alsace has to offer. I’m so glad that I did this tour and would recommend it to anyone!

Wonderful 1/2 day excursion

This excursion was wonderful. We were treated by a very friendly guide named Lea. Vehicle was very clean, comfortable and air conditioned. The vineyards were very nice and knowledgeable. Lea’s knowledge about wine and the region was excellent. It was a great afternoon with a small group of people.

Great way to get out of Strasbourg and explore the Alsace wine area. Quality tastings and we bought a bottle at each winery. Great van to travel in. Our guide has a lovely personal nature and very informative

Thierry était une merveille! He is such a knowledgeable guide who also makes things approachable and easy to understand. His sense of humor is also wonderful! What a lovely tour at two very different “domaines” that each highlighted what Alsace has to offer.

Alex took us wine tasting in Aix en Provence. He was a wealth of knowledge about wine making, history, the area, etc. Was a pleasure to hang out with for the morning. Even gave us a good recommendation for lunch afterwards.

Well organised tour. A really helpful and knowledgeable driver/guide. The vineyard/wineries were very impressive as were their staff. It was a something my wife and I always wanted to do just once. Some wine tasting included. Really enjoyed it, though some people maybe put off by the 95.00 euro per head cost for a four hour trip which includes travel to and from both sites.

Great experience in the Alsace countryside

We had a wonderful experience exploring the countryside. Obernai in particular was charming and lively. The town square was magical and felt like a fairytale. The other towns were equally pretty but because it was a Sunday, most shops were closed. I think had we gone any other day more would have been available. That said, our guide Lea was outstanding. She was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The vehicle was a brand new Mercedes van and very comfortable.

DO NOT ORDER WINE FOR SHIPMENT

We really enjoyed our tour with Orlane as our guide and we really liked the choice of wineries. However, I would advise anyone who goes on this tour NOT TO ORDER WINE FOR SHIPMENT. We ordered wine on June 4th with the understanding that Ophorus, our tour company, would be handling shipment in order to consolidate the shipments and get a better price for shipment to the U.S. It is now July 13th and we have received nothing. Communications have been shambolic at best. We were sent a UPS notice that a package was delivered to Goteberg, Sweden. Why? No idea. We asked Ophorus via e-mail. Crickets. My brother received an e-mail from a Mail Boxes Etc. in France asking for payment of 247 euros for his shipment of 1 case (this is a discounted rate!?). Why? Still no idea or even whether this is a scammer.

Great experience after initial change in plans due to guide being unable to take us due to an accident. Basically the tour we went on was an upgrade. We were very happy with our guide and the venue wineries despite being in a different area to where we booked.
