Fantastic Tour around Toulouse Region

Our guide Amelie was fantastic! She was prompt, well organised, personable and very knowledgeable about every aspect of the region and the history of all the sights we saw. She knew all the secrets and special details about the places we visited and because of her immense knowledge of the subjects, she gave us very interesting insights into the history and culture of the area. Beautiful scenic experience with a great guide

I really enjoyed this tour! Cami our guide and very good driver, was knowledgeable and helpful. There was a good balance of activities, a scenic boat trip, time to wander Cassis and have lunch and then more scenic views on our way to some wine tasting.

Unfortunately, the day I did the tour it was raining all day. However, I still would recommend this tour! We visited 3 chateau and they were very generous on the wine tasting. We were given free time to roam/eat lunch in Saint Emilion but given the weather we did a short walking tour. Rodolphe was our guide and he was very informative and friendly. He was an excellent driver as well! I had a good time and recommend it to wine lovers and to do something outside Bordeaux!

Best Tour in Province

The views in Cassis are truly breathtaking! This is a tour that you won’t want to miss. Julien was an incredible guide. He taught us so much about the area and wine while keeping us laughing. He is also really good at taking photos which is so nice as a solo traveler. 10/10 views and 10/10 guide.

A Wonderful Day Trip to Cassis

Our day trip to Cassis with Camille was excellent. Cami has a great knowledge of the history of all the places that we visited. She’s energetic and very expressive in the way she imparted information to our group of 5. She’s professional and also a really fun person to spend a day with. To top off an otherwise wonderful day, I left my phone in the van at the end of the trip, much to my wife’s incredulity. After I phoned the Ophorus office, Cami met me back at the Office of Tourism to give it to me. She was very gracious.

Morgane is a fantastic guide who added greatly to the enjoyment of our visit to Cassis. Her warm and welcoming manner put us immediately at ease, and her knowledge of the area is a great asset. We also loved the leisurely pace at which she navigated through our day, even though she found time to incorporate "bonus" stops such as incredibly scenic overlooks and a visit to La Ciotat. We highly recommend her!!!

We had the pleasure of joining a wine taste tour to Aix-en-Provence guided by Alex and we can confidently say it was one of the best experiences. From start to finish, he was incredibly knowledgeable, offering detailed and comprehensive insights that went far beyond the surface. He was also great at balancing depth with humor and warmth. Alex had a great sense of timing, weaving in historical facts, cultural anecdotes, and funny stories that made the experience engaging and memorable. Beyond being informative, he was simply a joy to be around! This tour felt less like a lecture and more like a rich conversation with someone who genuinely loves what they do. We highly recommend Alex and the Ophorus team to anyone looking for an unforgettable, insightful, and thoroughly enjoyable tour!

We took a 4 hour tour of the Normandy WWII sites with Matt and truly loved the experience. Matt is passionate about the subject and has clearly put in the work to understand all of the history: not just what happened at the sites with visited but all of the back story and could tie it into the larger history of France and world politics. The tour included Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc and the American Cemetery. He timed it so we had the opportunity to see the flags come down at the cemetery and it was very moving. I would seek out Matt again if the chance arrises. Thank you!

Magali is a wonderful guide to our D-Day tour!

We enjoyed our experience. Our half-day D-Day tour in the afternoon was a brilliant choice. Our guide Magali made it worthwhile. She is knowledgeable and thorough about the information and the historical background. She has a good sense of humor and made us relaxed. She was very good at logistics so that we did not miss the Retreat Ceremony at the Norman American Cemetery despite our tight schedule. The tour was in a small group and well-organized. I am grateful for Magali and her generous sharing.

A fantastic day trip!

Julie our guide and driver was both engaging and professional from the very first minute. Her extensive knowledge of Bordeaux and the Bordeaux vineyards and wine was clear very quickly. Julie was an excellent driver - it is less than an hour to the first wine-tasting chateau and the other two places were in Saint Emilion. A gorgeous little medieval village well worth the visit. We never felt rushed, learnt a huge amount and enjoyed ourselves enormously ! Thank you very much Julie !

Delightful tour of Alsace

Despite very long and unexpected traffic delays, Thierry did a wonderful job making sure we got to see everything we were supposed to see. He never got flustered about the traffic and navigated different routes with ease. His knowledge of the history of the region and the castle made him the best guide. He is a great story teller.

Iconic Place to Visit

It was a long ride in a van from Bayeux that we shared with three other travelers. Our driver, Valentine, was informative along the pleasant journey. Thankfully, he advised us to consider purchasing sandwiches for lunch, which we did, before entering the lower level of the cathedral…. This was a wise decision. Valentine turned us loose with our tickets. Up and up we went along narrow cobblestone paths and stairs. We weren’t prepared for the huge number of people with the same idea! But we trudged on slowly. The 360 degree view was outstanding. The interior structures were barren but the architecture was interesting. Restaurants & souvenir shops lined the lower level and were packed with long lines. Thanks to Valentine for looking out for us…. Glad we went, bucket list adventure completed.
