Excellent tour of Normandy Beaches. Pascal, our tour guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable. I learned many valuable lessons about DDay. His use of photos enhanced the tour. He even recommended a restaurant in Bayeux that we ate at the next day, tres bien!

Great Day!
Valentine, our guide, was amazing. The tour took us to three beautiful small very and very old villages and a wine tasting. Great bistro for lunch. With a small group, it was a very relaxing day and much better than renting a car to do the same trip which is what I originally considered.

Wonderful and Informative Tour
Laurent was top notch, an experienced guide with a gift for storytelling and bringing people together. I loved the small group format. We learned a great deal, but always in a fun way. Good humor, knowledge, and experience all led to a perfect tour.

Our guide was extremely kind, warm, and patient with our group of 8. She was effective and organized. I would highly recommend this small group tour, it sure beats a large group tour on a big bus. We got to see more.

A very nice trip, saw a lot of Burgundian countryside, commented by our guide. In the villages our knowledgeable guide Valentin gave insight into the local history. Can be recommended to anyone who is interested not only in the great wines of Burgundy.

Our full day tour in Alsace was the first we did with Ophorus and it made us happy to engage this company for five more excursions during our three week stay in France. Our guide Jerome knew the exact amount of information to offer us. He explained enough but also allowed us to chat amongst ourselves. He drove safely and efficiently. His understanding of the history of Alsace was impressive. We all learned so much from his commentary and his thoughtful responses to our questions. The villages that we visited were typical of the Alsace area and helped us to comprehend their role in so much European history. The cherry on the top was the hike to Haut Konnenburg Castle. Jerome walked us through and explained so many interesting details, and never made us feel rushed as we hiked up lots of steps and over some challenging terrain. My group of three 70+ year old ladies really appreciated that. I continue to be impressed by the quality of every tour that Ophorus has created.

Our half day in Dordogne villages was wonderful, if challenging! Lina was an excellent driver and guide and we were surprised when she told us at the end of the afternoon that it was her first day on the job! Obviously Ophorus does a great job training because we would never have suspected it. The itinerary is very well thought out, with stops at beautiful villages, a relaxing boat trip down the river, and then an adventurous and challenging visit to the chateau of Beynac. All told, this was a wonderful exposure to this fascinating area.
