Guide war nicht qualifiziert. Nur Getränke während den Degustationen. Nichts zum Neutralisieren. Kein Brot, Wasser oder Anderes. Erst nach Reklamation meinerseits, hat Frau Herz eine Packung Salzbrezel gebracht. Sie war super nett. Jedoch die Guide Myriam unerfahren und Kritik gegenüber stur.

Vi hadde en veldig kunnskapsrik guide, Mathis, som fortalte oss om Bordeaux’s historie og fremveksten av vinindustrien. Han hadde mye kunnskap omkring vindyrkningen og produksjonen av vin. Selve smakingen var også veldig interessant og viste oss hvordan ulikt terroir og år ga forskjellige viner.

Had a wonderful time tasting Alsatian wines! Our guide gave us a little history background of the Alsace region, we stopped up in the mountains to take pictures and then we were off to taste the delicious fruits of the vineyards! This wine tour was fantastic!

It was fun and relaxing with beautiful scenery and a great guide, Julian who was helpful and knowledgeable. Cassis is stunning, I really enjoyed the boat ride and exploring the village.

We did the full day Saint Emilion wine tour. Rodolphe our tour guide was both entertaining and informative. We stopped at three wineries and at each winery had four wine tastings. The town of Saint Emilion, a world heritage site was the cherry on the cake!

I feel like we won the lottery getting Matt Turner as our guide for our half day D-Day beaches tour. He was an absolute wealth of information that cannot be found in textbooks or documentaries. His way of relating the events Of World War II was engaging and provided a perspective not otherwise available! If you are looking for a great experience that will educate and entertain then please make arrangements with Orphorus tours and Matt!

A great trip with a knowledgeable, easy going and inclusive guide Matis. We learnt quite a lot for a half-day wine tasting visit in the Saint-Emilion area. The selection of wines tasted in Chateau Bellevue tempted us to buy a few bottles to sip the beautiful memories of the day on an autumn or winter evening. Matis recommended us also an extraordinary local restaurant in Bordeaux. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

Great experience

We had Stanislas as our guide on this great little trip from Bordeaux to St Emilion. E had a short tour of the town when Stream told us about the church and the history of the town. E had some time to look around the town by ourselves and buy a few souvenirs too. Then we visited a small winery where Stream showed us the vines, the vats and barrels, describing the wine making process and how the wine makers create the complex flavours and scents of the wines. Finally we did a tasting in a lovely room seated around a lading wooden table overlooking the vineyards and landscape of St Emilion. What a great experience! The mini bus we used was comfortable and air conditioned.

Maggie, our tour guide, was formidable both in her knowledge and conviviality. There was not a dull moment on the tour, the pace was just right, and conversation flowed easily. She complemented the ordinary history curriculum with an arsenal of little known details and fully realized narratives on the human cost of war. We saw history come to life. Much gratitude to Maggie for an unforgettable excursion.
