Our tour guide Pauline was excellent!!! She is very knowledgeable, sweet, thoughtful and personable. Her driving was terrific and she took all the mountain turns easily. We enjoyed our tour today to the 3 beautiful towns in The Black Forest and would highly recommend this tour.

The “Journey into Prehistory” was fascinating! Ann was an excellent guide and her knowledge, energy, sense of humor, and passion about the subject matter kept us engaged and interested for 8 hours! The Prehistoric Museum and the caves were incredible-not to be missed when you are in the part of the country. This introduction to Prehistory of the area inspired me to want to learn more so I bought a book to supplement the tour. Based on my experience of this tour, I would definitely use Ophorus again and request our tourguide Ann! Merci beaucoup for a great day!!!

We booked the half day Alsace villages tour on the Sunday morning (this was quieter in the villages and not as hot). We were met by our guide, Alain who was keen to understand what we were most interested in, so that he could tailor the tour. We were lucky as there were only the two of us, so had Alain's undivided attention. We visited several beautiful visits and a couple of good scenic spots for photo's. Alain was polite and engaging throughout the trip and keen to share his knowledge and interesting facts. We had a great morning and are happy to recommend this trip to others.

Seeing the prehistoric art was awe inspiring and thought provoking. Our guide, Ann, was knowledgable and entertaining. She made the day fun! The guides in the 2 caves were excellent. The museum at Les Eyzies is impressive and quite well done. We enjoyed the lunch break which gave us the opportunity to visit with our fellow travelers and a quick walk. The art is the star of this tour but the building at Lascaux IV is also interesting. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.

Very knowledgeable guide and we tasted so many wines. I liked the fact that it was limited to a small group. With such a personable guide drawing everyone into the conversation it was a very enjoyable experience.

The tour was good and the guide, Benoit, was excellent. We were picked up on time in a comfortable van. The day was very hot so we appreciated the air conditioning in the van! The two towns are beautiful and quite walkable. In each town we were given an overview by the guide and given about half an hour to walk around. The boat ride allowed people to view the river landscape and the village and castle from the water. We would have liked to have visited the inside of the castle at Beynac but there wasn't time. Overall, it's a good tour to acquaint one with the 2 villages and the Dordogne River.

A lovely guide drove us through part of the wine trail, she spoke very good english and had a great sense of humour. We visited two friendly producers and had the opportunity to taste numerous wines.

Takes one to incredible prehistory. In simple English they are awing. I’ve wanted to see them since I saw the movie about their recreation was released. I cannot imagine not being taken away by them. Our 5our guid e was terrific and so knowledgeable.

A most enjoyable afternoon

My partner and I booked an afternoon tour and as it turned out, the second couple cancelled so we enjoyed a 'private' tour. Our driver/guide, Arthur, was both knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Alsace wines and after taking us to a hillside where we looked out to the Vosges mountains and an expanse of vineyards, we visited two wineries. At the first, we had the opportunity to meet with the winemaker and learn of how, over several generations, they operated vineyards and made wine. We were surprised at the expanse of production and enjoyed sampling his wines. At the second winery, a staff member guided us through a tasting of its wines and we purchase some for shipment home to Denmark. Overall, it was a most enjoyable afternoon and we want to thank Arthur for his generous sharing of a wealth of information, and we wish him well in his future travel.
