Alsace wine route in a nutshell
I went on a mini tour by van along the wine route in Alsace, and it was a lovely experience overall. Over the course of the day, we had the chance to explore three of the most picturesque villages in the region, each offering its own charm and character. There was some free time in each village to wander around and enjoy the local atmosphere, which was a nice touch. One of the highlights was visiting the stunning Haut-Kœnigsbourg Castle, perched on a hill with beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Our guide was fantastic—knowledgeable, professional, and enthusiastic about the history and culture of the area. It made the experience much more enriching and enjoyable. However, I do feel that the tour was slightly overpriced at 165 euros per person, especially considering the length of the tour and the activities included. A fair price for what is offered would be closer to 100 euros. That said, this tour is the best option if you can’t rent a car and want to experience the beauty of the Alsace wine route in a convenient way. While it was certainly a pleasant day, the price does hold me back from giving it a full 5-star rating. I would still recommend it for anyone looking for a hassle-free way to explore the region, but just be aware of the cost.

The guide had a great personality and offered deep perspectives on the region. In some cases, he was instructing the assigned winery guide (and needfully so). He made it a fun activity for a group that did not know one another.

Matt was an incredible resource for information on D-day as well as WWII and the entire Normandy countryside. 8 hours went by in the blink of an eye. Not only would I recommend going on this tour but I will probably return as well. Great tour

This was one of the best tours I’ve ever been on! Matt was like an encyclopedia of WW2 and very charismatic but sentimental in everything he did. He was funny, knowledgeable, and captivating. I am honored he was our guide and I am proud he did the tour justice. The tour is heavy and emotional, but there’s a celebratory sense to it as well. If you’re looking for a tour, this is the one that is a MUST! 8 hours flew by in a blink of an eye!

This was hands down the highlight of our trip to France! Matt, our guide, was not only extremely knowledgeable but also passionate about the world changing events that took place that day. He was so kind and engaging that it took this tour over the top for us! As people who’s grandparents took part in WWII we already had extreme appreciation for those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom on DDay. But this tour and Matt, helped us to grow that appreciation in a whole new way. I hope that everyone who takes this tour has the same experience we had.

A Great Day and Tour Guide!
This was one our favorite tours ever! Our tour guide, Rodolphe, was not only charming and funny but also extremely knowledgeable regarding wine and the Bordeaux region. We loved that the tour was a small group of only 7 guests, including my wife and I, and that the 3 wineries we visited were smaller and family run. We not only enjoyed the wine we sampled, but also the information we learned about the region and wine making process. We have been on wine tours in other countries (as well as Napa Valley , CA back home in the U.S.) and still learned a lot from Rodolphe. He knew so much he could literally own and operate his own winery! We also had a couple of hours to enjoy the town of St. Emillion for lunch and wandering. Rodolphe was also nice enough to give us a dinner recommendation in Bordeaux after the tour was over that turned out to be fabulous (not surprised). Thanks again Rodolphe for a wonderful day and experience!

Alsace Half-day Wine Tour
This half-day tour was a fantastic introduction to Alsace and its wines. Jerome was very knowledgeable about the history, culture and wines of the region. He took us to two very distinct but excellent wineries. We sampled a large number of both classic and unique Alsace wines. The experience felt relaxed and unhurried, with Jerome and the winemakers taking the time to explain each wine, the grape varieties, and the production process. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to explore the wines of Alsace.

We would fully recommend this tour. We were shown hidden gems and beautiful architecture and history that we would never have found on our on. Mateusz was an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable and passionate about his home city. Thank you Mateusz for a very enjoyable experience
