This was my first experience taking part in a wine tasting tour. Our guide was very informative, enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable. She and the fellow participants made the entire day wonderful. All of the vineyards we visited were unique and beautiful with some amazing wines for us to try!

Our guy today was fantastic! Every minute was filled with meaningful narration that helped us understand the events of so long ago, and do appreciate the things we’re looking at. I am embarrassed to say that I forgot his name, but he was more rather is a retired French police officer. We went on the morning tour on October 13.

Perfect amount of time in each village, and our guide Ines was WONDERFUL — cheerful, skilled, and so knowledgeable about everything. I also appreciate that the operator was very good and professional about communicating in advance of the tour.

Outstanding wine tasting tour

Outstanding experience. Mathis our tour guide was knowledgeable and super friendly. Great sense of humor. Loved the wine tasting and exploring the village of St Emillion. Highly recommended this tour.

Good way to sped half a day in Colmar

Very nice excursion, jovial ad personable guide Tiery, decent amount of walking, a chance to taste vines but a bit crammed in the minibus

Great Introduction to Sarlat

This tour is a great way to gain a quick understanding of the town and the history of Sarlat and its main two outdoor markets, along with some of the best cheese and other markets in town. We discovered some great regional food and wine that we purchased to bring home. Benoit was a delightful tour guide, and the whole experience was very entertaining.

Worst service experience with no recovery

The local tour operator made an error and booked us for the 31st instead of the 13th on a private tour. They offered a group tour with unacceptable terms and we had to downgrade from a full day to half day to eventually secure a tour. Not possible to reach Viatour - just the local operator. We had to wake up at 6:30 for no reason on vacation. No make good/recovery offered for extreme inconvenience and disappointment.

Getting the history of the area was a huge plus

Amelie was fantastic. During the one hour drive to Albi she perfectly captured the history of the area from the Roman times to Louis IVX, which provided a tremendous amount of context to the day in general. That history and perspective that she provided all the way through our wine tasting at the end of the day really gave a complete experience. The three locations on this tour are great intros to the Tarn region in France.

Bordeaux 8 hour wine tour

We had a great day visiting wineries and touring St. Emilion. Our tour guide, Luigi, was fantastic. He was personable, knowledgeable, kind and attentive. St. Emilion is beautiful and a “must see” when visiting the area. The wineries we visited were enjoyable and informative about the wine making process in the region. I highly recommend this tour.

Well worth it

Our guide, Pascal, had incredible knowledge of his subject. He clearly relishes imparting his knowledge to the guests.

A fantastic day trip full of magical places. Our guide (I'm sorry I didnt catch his name, but he has a 3mth old baby boy, Raphael) was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable about Alsace and was also friendly, funny and a very safe driver (I am usually a bad passenger but I felt safe even up the winding roads to the castle on the hill). Everything about the tour has been wonderful and we have arrived back at our hotel exhausted but very happy. Thank you for a great day, we would recommend this tour to anyone and will definitely join you for one of your other tours next time we visit your beautiful part of France. 10/10 🤩

I cannot track down an earlier review that I wrote, very favorably and deservedly praising our full-day tour of St Emilion and three vineyards. In that review , I realize I d’ailée to correctly name our guide, who was delightful. The young woman’s name is Dulce, and she is wonderful: knowledgeable, personable and with an endearing sense of humor. She leads one of the chateau tours, and she was excellent! This was my 5th wine tour, and for the first time in awhile, I learned something nee! She was wonderful

Guide Charlene was quite good but sometimes was not waiting for everyone to be within hearing range. Good recommendation re lunch: crepes was a good choice.

We had an incredible half-day tour of the US D-Day sites with Pascal. As a former gendarme and having served in the military, he brought to life the approach strategies used by the troops, and the challenges they faced. His stories about individuals and their families were also very powerful. We learned a lot and came away with a deep appreciation for the sacrifices made and the critical role the US troops played in the liberation of France. Would highly recommend Ophorus tours and Pascal!
