A perfect day

Husband and I signed up for the half day wine tour from Alsace. Arthur picked us up at the designated meeting point, he was prompt and we ended up on a private tour. The van was comfortable, he first took us to a lookout point overlooking the wine region. It was lovely, he pointed out the area sites and explained the qualities that make this region unique for growing certain grapes. We went to two wineries for tastings: Clos de la Treille, and Kaefferkopf. Both are family owned and run. The vintners each gave us a limited tour of their wineries and we tasted about 5 wines at each. Both wineries produce excellent wines, we were very happy with the winery choices. Arthur was an excellent tour guide. He spoke English very well and helped translate some of the vintners comments. He was patient, helpful, knowledgeable, and has a great personality for being a public guide. This was a wonderful half day tour!

Incredible tour from start to finish! Our tour guide Matt was incredibly knowledgeable, with a real gift for storytelling. He weaved multiple stories beautifully together, giving us a rounded, inspirational and thought-provoking day. Some truly profound and emotional moments, skilfully delivered with a balance that delicately navigated the compassion, bravery, heroism and nuance of the dday context within the wider war. I am so grateful to have had Matt, and my step-son and I will never forget this experience. Myself and my 15 year old son were looking for a tour that was not going to take a full day and gave a chance to arrive and depart via train from Paris. You can easily walk from the train station into the center of Bayeux. This was the perfect, we arrived and had time for lunch and a walk around the town before the start of the tour. Our guide was excellent. He timed the trip perfectly so we could experience Taps at the American Cemetery.

Don’t miss this experience!

Our family, ages 17 to 73 took this half-day tour. It was phenomenal! Definitely an experience that shouldn’t be missed. Covering these three major WWII sites provided a great overview of D-day history. Our guide, Victor was outstanding. Extremely knowledgeable and very personable. His English was perfect! Overall, loved the experience!

Incredible fun facts with solid understanding of so many topics. It was diverse and covered numerous locations!

Julien was maginifique. The vibes between locations were really great and learned so much about France in general. Cassis was amazing!

Delicious day out

We had a marvelous time with Leticia and our small group of 6. The three wineries beautiful, hosts were lovely and informative, along with Leticia, whose passion for wine came through with such joy! One word of caution, after the second winery visit, make sure you get to St Emilion in time for lunch before many restaurants close at 2pm.
