We went on a day trip from Strasbourg to Colmar and then to a small village called Riquewihr. It was a small group of eight with our lovely driver/ tour guide Camille. The venues were idyllic, and Cammille (Cammie) explained points of interest and the history of the Alsace region in detail. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Alsace region.

Lovely half day wine tour. We saw the wine barrels at the first stop and heard the history of the region. The second stop we met the owner a lovely old man who shared his knowledge. Who knew the same grape variety (Riesling) could taste so different grown on different rock / soil. Highly recommend.

You see only two villages with 1.45 hours of free time in each village. Lots of crowds at Xmas time so be prepared

Great tour, but maybe skip during off season
This trip was mostly great. Two out of three wineries were fantastic. The second winery we visited didn’t even have a real tasting room, rather we tried a bunch of wine in the equivalent of an old man’s basement or garage. It was freezing in there, and there was zero ambiance. We also didn’t visit Riquewhir which was advertised in the main details. This was the town I wanted to see most. But the one village we were able to get out and walk around was beautiful. Our tour guide was fantastic and was incredibly knowledgeable. Recommend this trip, but maybe only during peak travel season.

Perfect Day Exploring Alsace
Our tour with Pauline was wonderful. We got really lucky with both the weather and our guide. She was so knowledgeable and friendly, and she took us through the most scenic routes between each stop. We got to see the most charming towns, and we even made it to the castle just in time for a beautiful sunset. Highly recommend!

Pascal is a sensational guide, a wealth of experience and knowledge of all the history relating to the D Day landings. We had some crazy cold and windy conditions, yet Pascal made it a very relaxing, informative and entertaining experience. Highly recommend.

Polenè was the most delightful host. She is knowledgable & passionate about the region, the people & the wines. We visited 3 very small family owned vineyards that were all completely different, giving us a true representation of what the region offers.

Disappointing Tour
Our guide was wonderful, but the plan for the tour was not. When we got to the Colmar market, we basically had to rush through the entire thing without stopping so the tour guide could provide facts. At the other end of the market we were given an hour and 45 minutes to have lunch and shop. By that time, the market was busy and crowded. There was no way we could get back to the beginning of the market to see all of the things we had to pass by that we were not allowed to stop and shop at. Not enough time at this market! We should’ve been dropped off and given a map at the beginning of the market and then allowed to shop. We could have met up with the guide at the end to hear the facts about the market.
