Beautiful Towns, but Not Worth the Price

We did the Christmas Markets day tour from Strasbourg with Dulce as our guide. Colmar and Riquewihr were absolutely beautiful—both towns are charming and well worth visiting, especially during the Christmas season. However, we didn’t feel the tour was worth the amount paid. The car ride was mostly silent, and we were hoping to receive more information about the towns, their history, or the region while traveling between stops. Aside from transportation, there wasn’t much added value compared to visiting independently. In hindsight, we could have done this trip on our own for much less money. While the destinations themselves were lovely, we wouldn’t recommend this tour based on value and overall experience.

AMAZING tour with a nice and knowledgeable guide who was funny, patient and answered all of our questions. I liked that he gave us some time to explore by ourselves at every stop. It was raining but we went either way (great) and the guide was not shying from the rain but we stayed on the beaches for a long time. I only can recommend and thank you for the unforgettable experience in a special place of history.

We were greeted by Laetitia In Strasbourg. We are a couple and our group of others numbered seven total, all from different places in the world, but who spoke English. We formed a tight group quickly in the Mercedes van, which was quite comfortable. It was a very foggy day and quite cold, but that didn't stop us from having a great time. We visited three different small wineries in the Alsace where we were able to meet the winemakers and tour their caves. We tasted 17 wines total, including several Grand Cru, a couple of orange wines, and great crémant! We were also able to see the small towns of Ribeauvillé during Christmas market, Epfig, where we visited the 1,000 year old Chapel of Saint Marguerite, and Mittelbergheim. Laetitia kept the energy going when we drove, telling us the history of the area, winemaking techniques, and on the drive back to Strasbourg, she passed around small bottles of wine aromas that we all took turns smelling and trying to guess what they were. The eight hour day that seemed to fly past as everyone was having so much fun.

Mixed feelings and tour NOT as advertised, but nice tour guide and clean vans

Mixed feelings about this tour. The tour guide was nice and the van was clean however, they advertised the tour covering specific villages and eliminated Eguisheim, without telling anyone in advance and this was not a "last minute" change...they simply don't go there (at least during December) despite the advertisement that they do. Very little information provided during the trip on the places being visited (with the exception of the castle)...they drop you off and pick you up at each town...that is it.
