While the Normandy D-Day tour was meaningful and deeply emotional, especially as we honored a longtime family friend’s relative who died just 19 days after arriving on D-Day, I was very disappointed by the handling of gluten-free accommodations during lunch. I clearly explained that I am gluten free, and our tour guide assured me the fish with cream sauce was safe. Later, when dessert with a visible crust was served, I questioned it multiple times. Only after insisting he double-check did he return and admit it contained “a small amount of gluten.” For someone with gluten intolerance or celiac disease, even a small amount can cause serious illness. Thankfully, I trusted my instincts before eating the dessert. Food allergies and gluten-free needs must be taken much more seriously.

We travelled half way round the world for this experience and weren’t let down. Both Murano and Burano were beautiful, special little places to visit as we explore this wonderful country. Silvia and Susan were great right from the get go, sharing information and their experiences as they led the way. The demonstration at the glassmaking factory was incredible, though the shop on the way out was a little out of our price bracket. It was however full of spectacular craftsmanship. We ran out of time to explore Murano, perhaps we’ll have to come back. The artistry of the lacemakers was also special to see, with some time to see this colourful wee fishing village. All in all, a highly recommended experience.

I read the reviews before purchasing. I would say this deal would be good IF they aren’t playing a popular team like the Dodgers. They say the prices are relative to the time of the demand at purchase, I definitely paid way more on this site then if I had purchased them on seat geek or tick pick. Lesson learned. You dont know your seats until a few weeks before or less. I was at least hoping to get good seats for the higher price but they were up in the 530’s and for the price I paid I could have sat in the 300’s and closer to home plate. So just use third party seat app so you can see your exact seats before hand.
