We booked this at the very last minute after reading some online reviews. We are sure glad we did! We enjoyed tour in the van on the way to the launch. We learned a lot from Myles our driver and the young girl I think named Taz that drove us up. We actually ended up with Myles as our guide. He was wonderful. You can really sense his passion for the outdoors. We wish we experienced more rapids along the way, but nothing you can do about water levels. You get what you get.

We had the best time! The check in process was super easy and quick (do your waivers online before you arrive.) I had never done white water rafting so I was a bit nervous. but it was SO MUCh FUN! Bode was a terrific guide and explained everything really well before we left and gave us choices as we went down the river to gauge our comfortability. He was a great guide! Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The views from the river were extraordinary.

This was a great experience! We took a large group of 17 down the Lower Animas and Mild to Wild made it so much fun. Steve, Bode, and Justin were great guides and made for a memorable experience for our students.

An amazing jeep tour! Not at all what we were expecting...so much better! Climbed to the top of the peak and had gorgeous views! A little rugged and rough at the top which made it all the more exciting and fun. And the entire trip was stunning with the mountains, canyon, scenery, wildflowers and hidden gems like the waterfall. Larry made it fun and put us all at ease. He taught us history and some fun facts about La Plata. We had children ages 3 - 11 and all the kids loved it! Highly recommend if you're in Durango!

My family had a lot of fun on our white water rafting trip. Our guide, Haden, was awesome and knowledgeable. He was able to give us some history about the river and surrounding area.

Making the most of a river with low water
The San Miguel is one of our favorite wild rivers to raft. We've been on it with high water and low, but never as low as it was for this trip. M2W gave us the option of cancel and take a credit, but we chose to go ahead. Even then, the full day trip became 2 runs at the same half-day section since the lower portion was totally un-runnable. But we ended up with a fun and challenging experience, as the significant grade in the river still made it a fast run and our guide Nina maneuvered us through rocks that would be underwater at higher water levels. And safety first - Nina yanked me out of the river within what couldn't have been more than 15 seconds when I held onto my stuck paddle too long and the raft went on without me. Mild2Wild has always included a safety lecture before each trip and because of that I knew exactly what to do and what to expect when I found myself briefly floating alongside the raft. We've done many trips with the M2W group over more than 10 years, and they never disappoint. Guides are friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and well-trained. We'll be back.

Great time. Relaxing with little excitement. This time of year July the river is lower so nothing crazy great time for bringing kiddos.

Would definitely recommend
Very fun and affordable excursion with the family. Rafts hold 6 people plus the guide. My kids are 8-10 and they loved it outside temp was 80’ so didn’t need a wetsuit. Bailey was our guide. She was great.
