Hunter was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and made us feel at ease on the raft. He navigated Class 14 rapids with ease and showed us Oprah and Matthew McConaughey’s joint vacation home on the river.

Great time in Dinosaur National Monument
I went on the 4-day Gates of Lodore rafting trip through Dinosaur National Monument with 4 members of my extended family. Our trip leader Marcus and guide Konrad took great care of us, fed us fabulous food, and gave us a stellar trip.

Mild to Wild is the best! I work for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and they recently hosted about 10 of our matches for a float down the river. They made the experience easy and communicated clearly when we needed to make a few changes leading up to the date. Glad I had a guide on this tour!
I was really glad I took this tour because our guide, Jay, gave us so much more information than we would have gotten if we had done it on our own. We also stopped at more places with our guide. There were 4 people on our tour. All were seniors, and I was the only one willing to make the climb to the palace. So be aware that you need to be in decent shape for that part of the adventure.

1/2 Day rafting
We had a great time and Devon made it extra special for us and even let our kids have a try at guiding the raft from the captains seat. We definitely will return on our next trip to Moab.

We went on the 1/4 day rafting trip. We were originally scheduled for a 1/2 day. But because we went very late in the season the rapids weren’t fast enough on parts of the river to be able to go the full route. But despite low water, our guide Justin made the experience very enjoyable and we still got wet! So fun! Thank you, Justin!

Recommended by another outfitter as the company he goes to for his personal vacation every year, I can't imagine a better outfitter than Mild to Wild! I led a group of 25 fathers and sons on the 4 day trip through the Gates of Lodore. It's incredible! Too beautiful to describe. The crew from Mild to Wild was amazing. They are experts at their craft, all with great attitudes. They were knowledgeable about the river, the geology, and the wild life and took exceptional care of us!.. A couple of them even held their own against the boys in chess! A shout out to Jordan, Josey, Devon, Brandon, Miles & Jackson! Pro tips: Get to know the Groover on night 1... Look out for Batman across the river from the campsite on night 2, and if you are lucky, you'll see Tippytoe the raccoon in the campsite on night 3!

We kayaked down the Lower Animas River with Mild to Wild. Hunter was our guide. Because it was the end of the season, the water level was very low. We had fun, although I would say our guide went very far ahead of us most of the time. So, whenever I got stuck on rocks, he was usually no where in sight. That was a bit irritating, hence the 3 star rating. The company itself was fine. Pictures from the photographer were good. Glad we went but next time hopefully the water level will be higher.

Sammy K took us for the best kayaking tour I have ever been on. She could make a puddle in the driveway seem fun and she is so knowledgeable and shared a lot of cool kayaking techniques. will absolutely be back for another tour with these guys :)

Waiting isn’t so fun and water was low however we love rafting every time and the guides make it fun! Our kiddo loves the water & rafting! Highly recommend! Love when the guides are interactive & treat our girl special. We will be back!

We had the best time on our white water rafting trip. Even though the water level was low, there was just enough excitement for this crowd. Toby was an excellent guide and made us all feel at ease. Hope to white water raft again with Mild to Wild.
