Toby was our guide, he had great energy, very upbeat and positive. He reminded me of Patrick Swaze from Point Break. We had two children with us and they both had a great time. The first half of the trip the water was pretty mild, mainly for everyone to get comfortable with commands before we started to hit the actual class 3 rapids. Toby gave us education about the surroundings but also what what to look out for on the water, how to approach, etc. The second half was definitely more fun and hands on. Toby, at our comfort level, had us attempt slightly more technical moves, like skiing a rapid, which was pretty neat. I would have advise people that are wanting to do this, not to wear cotton clothing. The water is cold, you will get wet, dress appropriately ESPECIALLY if it rains. It did rain on us halfway through and even though we dressed with moisture wick clothing and rain jackets, we were completely drenched and cold.

I will NEVER, EVER use anyone else. From the opening facial transaction to the end these fold here never missed a step. From a Please to the Thank you. From the sizing of the shoe all the way to getting onto the boat. Spectacular Texas hospitality away from Texas. They ACCEPT MILITARY DISCOUNT so that’s a HUGE PLUS for us. We typically steer away from non supporters as much as we can. Even if it’s a pennie that they pledge - we rather be with the folks that have our backs than those who dont - which are many here in Durango- We had a 9 yr old (scared of heights and water), 20 yr old (scared of heights and adventure), 40 yr old (gunshot wound survivor without abdominal muscles), and a 41 yr old (lower back issues) and we all made it safe and sound. We even ended up doing again the next day!!! So if you question your ability - Reach out to one of the guides and they will try their hardest to make your trip happen and be as safe and comfortable as possible. We had Hadley- Aussey mate and he was a gem. Thank you ladies and gentleman for all of the attention to detail. Hands up the best in town! Skip ASPEN come to DURANGO!

Thank you Mild to Wild for an amazing rafting trip in Cataract Canyon. My two best friends and I did the 6 Day trip down the river from June 14-19 and could not have had a better experience. The guides, Scotty, Bryn, Mike and Abelino were amazing and took excellent care of us and the other guests. The food was fabulous, the campsites were great, the hikes were epic and the rapids were out of this world. I would recommend Mild to Wild over and over again, especially with these guides! We are already planning our next trip. Thank you so much!!!

We had such a wonderful experience with a family rafting tour on the Animas river with me, my husband and 5 yr old daughter. Our tour guide was Eric and he was so very fantastic!!!! It was the first rafting experience for all of us and our daughter was way too excited all the while. Eric made sure we were all comfortable and at the same time had some thrilling rafting moments. He attempted surfing kinda thing just to make our daughter happy and she had so much fun. He was very patient and was giving us all the information about rafting and also about his personal rafting experiences. Also want to mention Aura and Brielle.....these two ladies accompanied us on a separate raft for safety reasons per rules and they were wonderful too. They were having small chats with our daughter whenever we had small breaks in between. Overall our experience was fantastic and we would definitely recommend Mild to Wild - especially Eric.

Great family raft trip down the San Miguel river just outside of Telluride. Great way to spend half a day. Guides were amazing: funny, safe and good at what they do. Thanks you John, you were a Mainiac😜 River was beautiful and just enough white water to be perfect for kids and first timers. Nothing scary but enough to be fun and exciting. Great way to spend half a day. Definitely recommend.

The views were excellent! The team that led the tour were great! Tom & Seth were the most knowledgeable of the area, but the other two [Allie and Sam I believe] were excellent as well. The wind was a little rough the day we went; my fiancé and I each did solo kayaking; which made the river a little more difficult than expected to navigate, but it was well worth the effort!

We really enjoyed our tour with Jonathan. Our group of 10 included 3 generations spanning ages from 5 to 72, and Jonathan did his best to give us all a great introduction to Mesa Verde. Our original plan had been to self tour, but after researching and discovering the size and distances within the park, we decided a guided tour might be best with the limited amount of time we had in the area. I feel we made the right decision because others on had been to Mesa Verde remarked that they had seen and learned more with Jonathan because they had driven before stopping at various points and running out of time before they reached some of the better sites. If you are coming for the first time and have more time than we did, I would suggest doing this tour first to get acclimated to the park and then returning with trips to preselected sites you wish to see closer and spend more time exploring.

Loved this rafting trip for my family. We went with 4 and 5 year old boys and it was the perfect amount of excitement without worrying they would be tossed out!!! It house Olivia was very knowledgeable and entertaining and very capable in her river guidance! The entire staff is the sweetest bunch of young people who are there to have fun and help you have fun safely on your vacation! We hope to use them again on a tougher route in the future!!!
