We had an absolute blast rafting the lower Animas for our son’s first rafting trip. Hayden was an excellent guide, and his ability to read the river and be responsible for seven other rafts was impressive. We are looking forward to our next trip and taking on some III-IV rapids. Highly recommend!

I’ve rafted down the Animas a few times in the last couple years with various groups and Mild to Wild is my go-to favorite. I also manage a short term rental in the area and refer all my guests who want to raft to Mild to Wild. Everyone has had a great experience! My most recent guide, Will, was fantastic!

Nathan was the guide on our raft. He was really great and knowledgeable. Nathan is very polite and encouraging. It was a great adventure. JOE was the group leader. He was great. He made sure we are stayed safe. I would recommend the rafting. Looking forward to coming back.

We had a wonderful experience rafting with our guide Thomas…very pleasant ride. The rapids were very fun! Although there was an issue with the pictures we wanted the manager Benji was very understanding and corrected the issue by offering us another rafting package to be able to get those priceless pics we cherish so much. The second guide was Kip. Also an amazing and respectful young man. Overall we were very pleased with the service and we hope to come back soon! Facility had all the you need to have an amazing rafting experience 👌

I’m gonna start with the best experience / points : - the jeep tour : we had a great time with our guide Diedrich ! The tour was really nice, we were the only car in the wild and Diedrich told us a lot about the landscapes and his Navajo culture. We spend more than 4hours in the jeep with him and I warmly recommend a half day trip with this super nice guide :) the stars are for him ! (He deserves more!) Negative points : - the kayaking experience : such a disappointment ! It was written that we would gonna spent 5.15 hours kayaking during the half day AM. Unfortunately expect to spend a lot of time in the bus and very few moments in the river… we didn’t even spend 2hours in the water :( we understand that the high level of Colorado river these days could lead to a shorter experience but we could have had more swimming time during the trip for instance. At least you could adapt the price for the kayakers because we paid a lot more than the rafters but didn’t get a true kayak experience… we didn’t mind being with the rafters but it was definitely slow… Overall the trip last less than 4.30 including (long) safety instructions and almost 1h drive… it’s way too short for the price we paid. And definitely way less than it was promised in the contract. At least you could mention in your website that the experience could be way shorter depending on the water level plus the safety instructions plus the drive… In conclusion I would definitely recommend the company for their Jeep tours. If you are an experienced kayaker I would not recommend the company to go to a half day kayaking.

I really enjoyed the Jeep tour with Deerich who is a really nice guide!!! But I was really disappointed by the Raft/Canoe tour, the staff is nice, the Colorado is wonderful, but it is really really too short! 30 min safety briefing, more than 1h30 bus/unloading/loading of the gears… and barely 2h on the water!! It’s clearly not enough for a 120 dollars/pers trip!!!! And the river flow should not be an excuse, it’s announced 5h15 round trip and we came back 1 hour before… we could stay longer on a beach or be launched upper/picked up later on the river. So I you like raft/canoe I clearly not recommend this trip, we would rather take our car and go to swim by ourselves in the Colorado, and save our money…

Our 4-day rafting trip through Gates of Lodore was an absolutely extraordinary experience, and it's all thanks to the exceptional team of guides: Seth, Annie, Gannon, and Luke. From the moment we embarked on this adventure, their passion and expertise were evident, making us feel both safe and exhilarated throughout the journey. Not only were they incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the river, but they were also kind, fun-loving, and genuinely caring individuals. The guides made sure everyone felt included and comfortable, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for the entire group. They went the extra mile to ensure our 12 and 14-year-old boys had a fantastic time, making this 4-day trip a truly memorable experience for the whole family. The delicious food, breathtaking scenery, and the perfect blend of excitement and safety made this rafting journey one we'll cherish forever. We're immensely grateful to Seth, Annie, Gannon, and Luke for their outstanding efforts in making this adventure unforgettable, and we can't wait to join them again for another incredible journey in the future.

Mild to Wild was exceptional! This group of folks were such a team from giving information before booking the trip to when we arrived. It is very obvious that safety, customer service and making sure everyone has a great experience, is very important to them. Marcus are guide was awesome. He was the lead out there on the river and we were so impressed how he made sure that our boat had fun but also kept watch over ALL the boats. It appeared there were one or two newer guides and the way he spoke to them in a teaching and encouraging way was so refreshing to see now a days. The level of respect between the guides was very high. We were not looking for all these great qualities, they stood out and you couldn’t miss it. We had a great day ! Thank you Mild to Wild, Marcus and ALL the staff, we will be back for sure.

We had an absolute blast rafting, the lower San Miguel river. Our captain John was amazing and we loved his enthusiasm and passion and made the entire trip wonderful. This was the highlight of our Telluride trip for our family at five.

We did an overnight rafting trip with annie and anna who were the absolute best and made an already amazing adventure so much better with 10/10 meals, facts about the area, and giving us great places to enjoy the beautiful river throughout the trip!

Gates of Lodore on the Green River: An unbelievably beautiful area to spend 4 days exploring. Our guides were experienced, fun, safe and informative. Seth, Gannon, Luke and Annie seamlessly worked together to make each of us get the most out of this awesome trip. Every hike ended in a waterfall to play and cool off in. There were petroglyphs and fossils and pictographs to view, even a family of Rocky Mountain sheep with a little lamb that watched us pass them by. The food was delish! My favorite was the 'killer' lasagna. This grandma got to learn some knots and lots about the history, geography, flora and fauna of the area from these young 20-something experts. CUDOS KIDDOS! We took our family on our 6th rafting trip with mild 2wild with our granddaughter this week. The river was flowing so well and it was very exciting! Some of us got drenched! But that’s what is so fun! Our guide, Justin, was incredible! Full of information and he had a lot in common with my husband and their love for fly fishing. I would definitely recommend Justin as your guide!

We had a great time on the river with our guide, Hadley. He was friendly and knowledgeable about rafting, the river, wildlife in the area, and surrounding landmarks. We were treated wonderfully with safety being first priority at all times, which I really appreciated since it was our first time.
