Our whole family enjoyed our rafting adventure down the Animas river. We had some little ones that were a little nervous about the rapids, but Kip, our guide was awesome! He navigated the river very well and made it a fun and exciting run. Unfortunately for Kip, I failed him miserably by falling into the river and ended up in another guide’s raft… Sorry about the six pack buddy.😜 I would definitely recommend Mild to Wild for a great trip down the Animas!

Our guide Will knew tons of interesting facts on the history of Durango. It was amazing to learn about the bridges and the animas river. He made my family and I feel safe and aware while riding the duckies.

Fantastic trip down part of the Colorado River. Went with two kids 15 and 13 but saw younger kids doing it. The guide we had in our boat was Hayden who knew a lot about the area, the different rock formations we saw and the wildlife. Rapids weren't too difficult to manage and has made us wishing we did the whole day tour not just the half day!

Our family had a great time on our premium raft with our awesome guide Jaden! We decided to go with the 1/2 day trip which was perfect. It was our first time ever rafting and Jaden really took his time to answer our questions and make us feel safe before we even left the beach. All the employees at this company were very enthusiastic but I would highly recommend Jaden for his knowledge around the Durango area. Thanks again Mild to Wild Team!

We had the most WONDERFUL experience on the River with Nathaniel! Our two children, 8 and 10, were a bit nervous to ride and Nathaniel gave us such a smooth ride and beautiful experience! Highly recommend this amazing adventure!! The highlight of our trip! Thank you Mild to Wild!

My 4 girlfriends and I went rafting yesterday, July 31st with Mild to Wild Rafting and Jeep Tours on the San Miguel River and had the best rafting trip ever! They split our group into 2 rafts and our leader, Nathaniel, exceeded all our expectations! I would highly recommend this this company and our leader to anyone!

We had a great time on the Jeep tour. Jay was a great guide, on the ride up to Silverton he gave us some good info on the area and history. The jeep ride was fun and he stop at an old mine and let the kids do some prospecting for silver and gold, they actual found some small quantities, and they had fun.

Family and I floated down the Colorado with M2W yesterday in inflatable kayaks. They are a great operation full of fun and knowledgeable staff. Dean was our guide and couldn’t have been more fun. Bonus that he knew so much about the river, animals, fauna, and overall history of the area. Great way to beat the heat.

I had the privilege of rafting the Upper Animas River, one of the most challenging commercially run rivers in the U.S., with some of the best boaters in the country in early July, 2024. For adventurous folks, it's a top-notch experience, with each part of the itinerary perfectly timed. The adventure begins with a quick 20-minute drive to the train station, where you can explore the surrounding woods, view train remnants, do yoga, etc. while you wait for the historic train. The two-hour train ride takes you through the Weminuche Wilderness, offering amazing views of the Animas River. Upon arriving at a semi-permanent campsite, you can play horseshoe while the guides prepare the rafts. The rafting portion includes an hour and a half on the river before and after a delicious deli-style sandwich lunch. Along the way, you'll hike through the woods to scout the Class V rapid and paddle constantly through frothy waters in a stunning area. In the remote canyon carved by a glacier, you feel fully immersed in this incredible adventure!

Excellent tour. Perfectly paced. Comfortable van. Jay, our guide, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The full day tour of Mesa Verde included an upclose visit to Cliff Palace.
