We did an afternoon 4x4 Jeep tour. I was a little concerned about my decision-making booking this because it's so hot (early/mid June), and we have young kids (7, 7, 5, and 3). But our guide Ben was excellent. He was patient and engaging with the kids as we moved slowly to avoid heat exhaustion for the Littles. He shared a lot of local stories and geological knowledge of the area. All adults and kids had a good time. My son said Ben is the best driver and guide ever, and he gives him a million-star rating. Seatbelts have to be re-tightened constantly. Minor annoyance for an otherwise great experience.

Took a half-day jeep tour of La Plata canyon and up to Kennebec Pass with Mild to Wild Rafting. The scenery and views were amazing. Our guide Lee was great. Easy going, very personable and extremely knowledgeable about the geography, geology and mining and other history of the canyon. He was very professional and we always felt safe and secure. Jeep was adequate and comfortable. There are probably lots of other companies offering these sort of tours and Mild to Wild did a very good job of orchestrating it but the guide you interact with is what makes all the difference and Lee is the best-of-the-best. We felt like we had been in the company of a good friend by the end of the trip. Would highly recommend.

Gavin was our raft guide that was very informative and skilled at piloting us down the Colorado river. We even enjoyed the bus ride to and from the river. The guides took turns pointing out local sites, giving us the history of the area and throwing in several dad jokes along the way. It was a great experience that our family truly enjoyed.

Ben, Chelsea, Nathan, and Emma were awesome guides. Called the company and they made it really flexible for our family reunion. Great trip, lots of family fun. Ellie from the corporate office was extremely helpful in coordinating all the people who cancelled last minute because they couldn’t make it.

This is a must-do trip! Two sets of sisters who have been best friends for over 60 years had a blast on Cataract Canyon. The beauty and power of the canyon was breathtaking. We had terrific food, excellent guides and crew (thank you Scotty, Mike, Jeff, George, and Max!) Customer service was at the pinnacle of excellence. It was a great adventure riding the rapids and camping out under the stars. Do it!

The Mesa Verde Trip with the visit to the Cliff Palace was amazing. Our guide Jonathan was so knowledgeable and friendly. It was a great trip and we enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend if you are visiting Durango. We also did the rafting trip with Lauren. We have been rafting in several other places and this was by far the most fun we’ve had! Lauren was an incredible guide and having the raft just the two of us and her was amazing. My daughter’s favorite event this trip was the rafting.

We did a half day trip with a group of several families and lots of young kids, and Wilson and Shawn were amazing! The river was so fun, and they involved the kids with extras like letting the kids sit in the guide seat for small stretches. We had several who were nervous, but it was a good balance between fun and exciting but not too intense. Would absolutely do again!

Big thanks to Mild to Wild for a fantastic Cataract Canyon 4-day raft trip. Bigger thanks to Max, Mike, George, Jeff, and Scottie for being the face of Mild to Wild as our awesome and experienced guides and for catering to our every whim even though certainly didn't expect you to. Felt like a cruise ship service experience with the benefit of remote roughing it and adrenaline. The hikes, fantastic food, and BIG water lived up to the hype of the Canyonlands experience! Be back next year with a couple friends that couldn't make it this year.
