This was our second time down the river and it did not disappoint us. The counter check in was so fast and the staff greeted everyone with enthusiasm. Our guide was helpful to the fullest extent. He did some great spins and avoided the rough stuff because we did have a 10 year old on board. He really bestowed confidence in her for when the big ones came up. He also pointed out some great points of view about the areas as we passed by.

Did the Lower Animas half-day rafting tour and really enjoyed it. It was our family's first time rafting and our guide Toby did a great job instructing us and making it fun! I was also impressed with the way the whole team worked with the younger kids on the trip. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a good time. Would highly recommend if you are in Durango!

If you’re looking for an awesome whitewater raft company then Mild to Wild is it. We did the 4 hour trip and we enjoyed every moment. The staff is super friendly and focused on your safety and fun. Our guide, Caleb, was a star. He told us a lot of the history and found the rapids!! You won’t be disappointed.

The Upper Animas (MtW's most adventurist trip)!!! It is easily understood that this trip isn't for everyone. For those this trip is designed, make every effort to book it. The (pre)training the day before the float is excellent and will give even the cautious client a sense of confidence. The day the float begins starts with a historic train ride (so cool!) into the Colorado wilderness. An hour later, having arrived at your destination, your team will be hitting a Class V rapid. My wife and I have booked numerous whitewater trips all over the US. The staff at Mild to Wild were the best we've ever seen in terms of safety. You'll know before you go if this trip is for you! Nickel, Tray, & Nathaniel were the best guides we've ever had (they deserved every dollar of our tip) . Seriously, if you think this trip is for you... it likely is! Have fun!

We had a great experience on the full day Mesa Verde tour we took with our guide Lee. He was very knowledgeable about Mesa Verde and the history of the area and took pride in making sure we had a worthwhile tour and our interests were addressed. There were 6 of us traveling together and we all were very pleased we took the tour. Lee was a pleasure to be with, he made the tour very informative and fun and we felt like we were olds friends by the time the tour was over. We're highly recommend Lee as a tour guide and would definitely book with Mild to Wild again, they do an excellent job.

We had an awesome time with Sammie our guide. She was amazing and shared her vast knowledge of the area and made it a great time. We would definitely recommend and are so glad we decided to journey down the river. This is a top notch organization that knows how to take great care of its customers while ensuring our safety at all times. 5 star service all the way around. You will not be disappointed!

This was a wonderful trip: our guide, Dean, was knowledgeable and shared with us so much about the sites along the river. Dean never hesitated to take us down the best lines and keep the kids smiling. We did this with a 4,8, and 11 year old and Dean found something to make everyone happy. Thank you, Dean, for hosting us on this gorgeous river. Great all around family trip.

We had an amazing experience rafting down the San Miguel. We were lucky with excellent weather and water levels but Mild2Wild gave us an excellent experience. The start of the trip was easy to find and they gave wetsuits and booties you could walk in to keep you warm. They have new wetsuits and walkable booties so we didn’t need shoes. Trip was tons of fun and our guide Corbin was amazing. He gave us the history of the area and is clearly an experienced guide on this river because his instructions were spot. We stopped for lunch and had chips and sandwiches and got back on the river. All the guides were super friendly and it was overall a great experience. Be aware that this river is undammed so everyone is at the mercy of the snowmelt which determines the water level. There may be times when the river doesn’t have enough water to do a rafting trip. Water levels were perfect mid-June but change all the time and are different every year.

Had an amazing day with Mild to Wild! Jay was our awesome guide with great humor, history and knowledge of the area and all things in the nature. It was absolutely beautiful and he catered to what you really wanted to see and do! Thanks for making great memories and for sharing your love of the beautiful area and the really cool moose!!! Oh, the office really helped insure we booked the correct train back to Durango.

Where is the 6 out of 5 stars option? The guides were all outstanding. Which ones should you request? How about Annie the Swift- it is said she rows faster than the river rages. How about Jordan the Oarlord whose alluvial conquests may one day stretch beyond the mighty Yangtze? Or Evan the Wise who carries the canyon lore of the ancients? Or the giant among mortal men, Baby Ben? Maybe Jackson the elusive master of disguise, no nation knows his true name. And just as Gonzalo Fernandez de Cordoba gained the title of "The Gran Capitan" for his wit, bravery, loyalty, and exemplary service to the crown, there is Luis who, among 20 million men and women of Chile, is the only to have earned the title of "El Chileno".

This was a great experience. Ben was our River Guide and was informative about the area & wildlife as well as coaching us to “paddle as a team”. It was a 2 hr trip on the river with 4 sets of rapids, the most intense was a Class 2 1/2, which was fun even for a couple old folks like us. Had a bit of problem when booking, but Grace straightened everything out and off we were.Would recommend this for ages 7-75, as long as you are fairly able bodied. You do have to paddle but the river guides maneuver the rafts to minimize that. This was a half day trip and would do it again

We enjoyed our half day rafting trip-- my 13-year-old can't wait to go again and try more challenging rapids next time. Ashley was a fantastic guide and gave us all kinds of interesting geological and historical information about the area.
