We booked the Durango Shuttle to Silverton/Silverton Jeep Tour" before catching the train back to Durango with Mild to Wild Rafting & Jeep Tours. We had no idea that would leave from the Durango station in our tour Jeep and be touring all the way up to Silverton. Once we arrived we went to several mining sites and great view points around Silverton. Our guide, Art, was outstanding! He not only provided great narration, but is also an award winning photographer. He gave us free mini phone photography lessons and then took several photos for us along the way. He also provided some excellent recommendations for lunch in Silverton. If you do any of the Jeep tours around Durango and Silverton, be sure to ask for Art!!

I did both the whitewater rafting and the jeeping tours and they were both awesome trips! Our guide for the whitewater rafting, Caroline, was sweet, helpful and very informative! The rapids weren’t high this time of year but the trip was fun regardless! Definitely worth a try! The jeeping was super fun as well! Not the most exhilarating trip although there were a couple moments but the beautiful views made up for it! Or guide, Ben, was knowledgeable, helpful and so kind! He made sure everyone enjoyed themselves while also feeling safe and comfortable. Additionally, my friend lost her phone out there and he drive us back after and did the entire trail again! He gave us 2 1/2 extra hours of time and didn’t ask for payment although we did give something. So so impressed with his kindness!!

The experience of a lifetime! My wife, 4 kiddos (ages 7 - 15) and I had a great guide crew, led by Annie, with the patient and knowledgeable Tysa rowing our boat most of the time. Adayna, Abby, Wilson and Luis rowed the gear boats. We couldn't believe how hard the guides worked rowing, loading and unloading gear each day, preparing each meal, taking us on hikes, singing the theme song to Jurassic Park (thanks for getting that stuck in my family's head Wilson!), and just making it a wonderful experience for our family. We loved riding the rapids on the boats and in the duckies, taking in the scenery, hiking, eating the freshly prepared food, learning about the area, and just sitting around and chatting with the other guests and guides. After such a great experience, we plan to make it a recurring vacation.

We had a great experience white water rafting with Mild to wild. We had a big group so we were in 2 rafts. Our guides, Dillon and Cooper were amazing. The river was down a little but they went out of their way to make sure we still had fun adventures. They were also very good at what they did, giving good directions and knowing how to navigate smoothly through the trickier areas. Highly recommend this company.

We had a wonderful time on our 1/2 day white water rafting. Connor was our guide, he was informative, while also being kind, had a great sense of humor, and kept everyone in the raft engaged in conversation.

We completed our first family rafting adventure in Durango in the beginning of August at 9am (great time actually). We were the only ones on the raft which was nice. We were also told it was a perfect time of year for a first time, and June would be a great time to come back and try the same rapids at a higher class level. Finally, we stayed in Telluride-Mountain Village so we left at about 6:30 to make it in time. If we did this trip again, due to elevation and never visit Colorado before, we would consider starting our trip with a couple days in Durango and then move up to Telluride. This would allow us to white water raft, and explore Durango while getting acclimated to a higher elevation. 🤩 Incredible customer service and even better guides! Our experience was led by Toby and Conor. Toby was our guide on the raft, and he was calm, knew what he was doing, and gave very clear directions on how to paddle together; which helped our family (including 12 and 10 yr old boys) feel safe. Toby was very conversational; he share information about the river, the Durango area, and recommendations for our next rafting experience! Both Toby and Conor encouraged the boys swim, jump on a rock, and float down a fun rapid (which the boys did over and over again because it was so fun). 📷 We paid for our photos and they turned out great; well worth it for us. (-) We were cautious, and didn’t bring our phones, but wish we would have. There were calm moments down the river we could have captured some great video, and other photos along the way. If we did it again, I’d bring a waterproof case with neck strap, or water proof floating pelican like case, chorded to my life vest. The guides had life vests with a pocket on the front which would be easy to remove and protect the phone as well. My only recommendation is the life vests and helmets had a little funky smell. Maybe a deep cleaning on them or ensuring a system to fully dry equipment at the end of the day.

This adventure was amazing. And the full day of rafting is totally worth every penny. Yeah there is some paddling involved and getting wet makes it even better. Chelsey was our river guide and she was totally awesome and funny..

I did a 5 day 4 night Desolation Canyon trip with my 8 year old son. Guides Max and Evan made the trip so fun and enjoyable. Their focus on Leave No Trace was impressive as well as their knowledge of the geology and wildlife. They also kept things fun and were great with my son. I was excited for the trip but it exceeded my expectations.

We loved our jeep tour from Silverton, CO, that took us to some amazing places we would have never seen. Our guide, Tosh, was great. He was super cool and gave us information about the local plant life, and history behind what we were seeing on the tour. We had an awesome time and enjoyed every minute.
