We went on the jeep tour the last week in September 2024 that takes you up to Silverton where we took the train back to Durango. Jared picked us up at the Mild & Wild sign and seating area in the train station parking lot right on time with what appeared to be, a new shuttle bus; one of three in their fleet. He was very knowledgeable of the sights and he gave us a play by play of many of the historic locations as we made our way to Silverton. He dropped us off at the center of town, where the public restrooms were. As a side note, the restrooms were in very good condition, also appeared fairly new and rather large. We had about 30 minutes to walk around before he came back with the jeep to take us on our tour. The jeep was a fairly new Jeep Gladiator. Please note that this is important since I had been on another jeep tour in Red River where the jeep broke down halfway up the mountain. There were 7 in our group; there was plenty of room. We stopped at several historic points of interest before taking a trail above the tree line. On that trail, we stopped and got out at several of the old mining camps where Jared explained the history of each building and how the mining operation worked. We stopped at a waterfall and explored so there was a bit of hiking involved. Jared was insistent that we stay hydrated and he brought plenty of water for everyone. The trail was rather rugged so I doubt a car would make it. It was fairly steep and there were lots of rocks; not a big challenge for the Gladiator with rock crawler tires. The scenery was amazing being the perfect time when the leaves were changing. Overall, the best jeep tour we had experienced. We had so many questions and Jared was a regular Wikipedia on mining, Silverton, and geology.

Mild to Wild was fantastic! We booked a rafting trip on the Animas, which was waaaay better than expected. Our guide (Lauren) was amazing and the views were amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to raft. The water was low, so the ride was chill and relaxing. Great people! Definitely looking forward to our next adventure with M2W!!

Ben and Mike were fantastic rafting guides. Very informative and fun. Dedrick was a wonderful jeep tour guide. We enjoyed hearing about the land from his perspective as a Navajo. It was a wonderful day! Thank you.

We did the full day level 2 trip and had a blast! It was simultaneously fun and relaxing with multiple rapids while also time to hang and chat with the others in the raft. Luis was our guide and he was awesome! Super knowledgeable and made the slower parts fun with animal watching, raft tricks & interesting facts about the area. Also was pleasantly surprised with how good the lunch was - my girlfriend is vegetarian so options for her are sometimes iffy but she had high praise and even said she appreciated how fresh it was. 10/10 would recommend!

Just did a three day/2 night corporate retreat with the MTW team on Gates of Lodore. Experience and professionalism were top notch. The team, led by Annie, were excellent...true pros, worked hard, were great to get to know a little bit, strong safety, and great food and prep and camp set-up. Have no reservations recommending them and we had a great experience. Well done folks!

The Mild to Wild afternoon Jeep Tour exceeded all our expectations. With different adventure preferences (me mild & my husband wild) our guide Deedrick, gave us just the right mix. Amazing views from deep canyons, sudden valleys like scenes from Jurassic Park, and exciting trails, hills and cliff edges. Deedrick was amazing, sharing info about the formations we were seeing, how they were formed, the plant and animal life and history of the area. We don’t usually spend on these kinds of tours, and are so very happy we did! (I never do reviews so that alone tells you something)

Highly recommend this entire crew. The staff behind the scenes were amazing. My wife and I chose to kayak vs raft and for us that was the perfect adventure. Scott was our yak guide. He was professional yet very personable, helpful and knowledgeable of the area. I think Gary was our bus driver… he was blind in one eye and couldn’t see out of the other 😂. Mike was the guide on one raft. Ben was the guide on the other… and was the lead guide. He was professional, funny and full of sh… I mean fun facts and trivia about the area was hilarious. The water was easy going with enough “moments” to keep it exciting for us. The scenery? Well there are no words for that… and that’s probably why you’re here. It does not disappoint!❤️

Our Colorado Rafting tour with Mild to Wild Rafting tours was fantastic and the scenery unforgettable. Our tour guide, Kaitlin, was informative, upbeat and fun.
