Awesome Day at Mesa Verde!
We went on the full day tour with Mild to Wild Tours. Bella was our guide for the day and was great! She was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We met the tour in Durango at the set pickup point at 8:15am. We first stopped at the visitor center, and Bella gave a short lesson in front of the beautiful statue out front. After this we made many stops at some of the older archeological sites that predate the cliff dwellings. We then made a few more stops at some of the overlooks to get a good idea of the cliff dwelling areas. Next up was lunch. We had turkey sandwiches and chips. Sounds simple, but it was good. We then headed to Cliff Palace for our Ranger guided tour to the bottom at 1:00pm. Make sure you are healthy enough to manage stairs, rock cutouts, and a few ladders for going down and ascending back out. We enjoyed this immensely. Bella was waiting for us when we made it back out of the canyon. We made a couple more stops at lookouts and went to the museum. On the way out, we stopped and all enjoyed some fresh fry bread at a stand. What a great treat to finish off the adventure. We were then on our way back to Durango. Our group had a total of six. We arrived back at about 5:30 or a little after. Thanks for a great day Bella!

Great experience, our guide Devin was amazing and very knowledgeable we truly love the experience. We wish trip were longer tho. The take off and drive to site took longer, an hour to depart and 35 min to arrived to river plus the time to unload 3 boats, then 2nd guidance to board, the ride was nice and fun, our guide girl Devin super attentive, kind, fun and knew a lot about the area, very knowledgeable in everything!!! From landscape, plants, birds, area, activities and even great restaurants and good coffee options…. Thank you D for great experience!!! Her guide switch everything to pisitive.

We had a fantastic morning on the water for the 1/4 day rafting trip. Our guide was Justin and he was fun, professional, and had a lot of knowledge about the area. He went above and beyond to make us feel safe and give us a great experience. Would highly recommend.

Amazing and informative, a must-do
We took the 1:00 PM half-day tour of the Mesa Verde plateau on a van with Jerry as our tour guide. The trip was amazing. From a detailed history of the Pueblo peoples and the civilization they created, their lives and traditions, and a few carved artifacts and ruins, this tour is insightful into everything about the lives of the Puebla civilization. In addition, Jerry was an excellent guide who seemed knowledgeable and passionate about the preservation and teaching of this wonderful national park.

Amazing experience with stunning views!
We did the Upper Piedra river raft tour. The best river rafting experience yet! The scenery was gorgeous. Our guide was awesome. Would highly recommend.

I would have rated this a...
I would have rated this a 5, but in the information provided when I booked, there was no indication that short hikes would be a part of this. Therefore, although I wore walkable sandals, I would have preferred to wear tennis shoes.

We booked a tour for a full day experience at Mesa Verde. Our guide was Miles and he was very knowledgeable about the history!! He was very personable and we learned so much from him!! The tour was seamless from start to finish. Miles had snacks and cold water for everyone in case we needed a nibble and a drink. That was a nice touch!! The sandwiches for lunch were very good, too. They took our dietary needs into consideration. In addition to the Mesa Verde tour, we've done white water rafting with Mild to Wild, and now we're going to do the Jeep tour with them. Great company that takes really good care of their guests!!! Definitely recommend them and their tours!!

My wife and I were very fortunate to have as our guide, Stan Cook. This was his 20th season as a river guide and he was the perfect combination of skill and great personality. We had a great time and I would highly recommend him again.

We had a great time on a half day rafting trip. Ben was our guide and he was extremely knowledgeable about the area. He was also amazing with our young kids, answered all their never-ending questions. Really great trip!

We had a great trip with Frans he was a great guide with lots of fun info about the area and funny jokes. We were stoked. We did the half day trip with our 6 year old. It was smooth and just exciting enough to keep his attention and not scare him. I would highly suggest Mild to wild!!

We had a blast on our rafting trip down the river. Our guide, Ryan, made it fun for everyone. He was a great coach, talked about the sites along the way, answered all our questions, and was attentive to the kids having the best experience.

The ride was so much fun and if it were less hot we would have stayed all day. kids loved it and had the best time. I would totally recommend it for anyone but young kids might have a little harder time since you do get splashed quite a bit🙂 this was written by a ten year old
