Matt was wonderful. Easy to walk... even with a wheelchair! We had a great tour and the 2nd church was unbelievable.

Great Tour with knowledgeable tour guide
A good experience for 1st time at the museum. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. She was able to navigate us to the most important pieces and give us some great history.

Our tour guide, Sylvanie Arnaud was absolutely amazing. First, she is very personable and gets so excited when discussing the artworks. As a tour participant it’s hard not to join in on the enthusiasm. Second as an art historian she is a subject matter expert. You will definitely learn about the artists, various techniques and the significance of the paintings. Having been to museums throughout Europe, she is one of the best guides I have encountered.

A bit of a mix up at the beginning but Marion sorted everything. Really great at setting context and giving info on each item and she was obviously passionate about the art. We loved it all. Not her fault but some bottle necks at the museum were not pleasant but that’s just because of the crowds. Can’t help feeling that numbers should be restricted.

Bring History Life
There's always the option to go solo and use the audio guide to learn more. I did that with the Louvre so I could go at my own pace. But when visiting a place like Versailles it's really nice to have someone who's well versed in the stories and excited to bring them to life for you as you explore. Our guide Cecilia was fantastic!! She had a mix of people and managed to engage with us all. You could tell she truly enjoyed the history of Louis XIV, XV & XVI - or as she says the Sun King, Fun King & Done King. She could answer all our questions and had wonderful anecdotes all throughout the palace. You finish in the gardens and after a brief intro are free to explore on your own. I highly recommend taking the Petite Train around the grounds and using the audio guide you can scan on the side of the ticket booth.
