Our tour guide Anthony provided informative insights into the many paintings we saw today. He made everyone feel included and cared for.

Worth the visit

First guide to and on train did not warn us of our stop so we had to scramble. Palace guide was very knowledgeable and was funny. However, we were deposited in the gardens without a Fountain Show. Guide was also very fast in some parts with a larger group. Overall great. Lots of walking....lots.

Booked English speaking...

Booked English speaking tour. However half was in English, half in French. Somehow French speaking tourists managed to get on the English tour. Instead of rebooking them on a French tour, company decided to do half and half. Missed a lot of opportunities to hear more about Versailles, as the tour operator repeated everything in French. Disappointed. The tour guide was informative, though we probably only heard half of what could’ve been said. Seems company just wanted to get as many spots filled as possible. Versailles is extremely crowded. Shoulder to shoulder inside, obviously not tour company fault, but good to know if you haven’t been.
